I go to the dentist, they're putting a crown on a root-canaled tooth.

The nurse goes to prep me, I hear her say "I'll whittle the tooth to see if it comes off". She thinks I had a temporary, I didn't.

I'm shocked, "You're gonna whittle the tooth?!" No, she says, "wiggle".

I explained my concern, the 30+ lady didn't know what "whittle" meant. I defined it, she claimed to maybe understand but her eyes said she had no idea what I was talking about.

I'm glad I didn't have to get into fixed blades vs folders.
