Big fan of Busse, these are the biggest ones I had - all these are gone now but kept a pic beforehand.

From left to right:

Force Multiplier V8 (FMV8) 8", Nano Team Gemini 6.5", Team Gemini Ultra Light Brigade (TGULB) 7.75", Dirt Dart Steel Heart 6.5", Nano Fusion Natural Outlaw 6.5", Hell Razor 2 8"

I do like Busse. The marketing is a bit "off" but they are solid knives. I was just using one of the scrapyard knives to cut grass away from a sprinkler head today.

Earlier I posted a 9 1/2" Bowie from Polish maker Steevee. I liked it so much I ordered a 5 1/2" version, he did a great job, including a matching sheath. Like @Soflaac I'm a fan of Tony Mont and Steevee.

My current large fixed blade favorite. Arrived a couple months ago, Phillip Patton is the maker.

9" blade, approx. 14" overall. Very clean lines, great sheath too. Cool

I have patently waited for the re-issue of the Kodiak after reading about yours.
A few weeks ago the new Kodiak was released with a new steel. I did not like the Grizzle that was introduced after the Kodiak because of the large finger choil.
The newly released Kodiak has a thinner blade than the original,I will pass on the new one, and watch for a used original model.
Too bad they could not leave a good thing alone.

I'm a fan of Phillip Patton, too. A few years ago I had him make me a camp knife for a close friend.

Thought so but I wasn't sure if that was the mountain logo or not. I do like their work.

This photo spread somehow reminds me of Sakamoto Ryōma in the Teradaya Incident; he was a samurai who got ambushed and blasted his way out with a S&W. I think he would approve.

I had Jim Crowell make me this quite a few years ago. Jim is Master Smith and known for his bowies. This is more of a fighter, he called it LaViolencia. Sheath was made by now retired Paul Long.
