here it is today. all cleaned up after heat treat. final grind and polish done and a light grey acid etched finish. now to decide what kind of handle to put on this one.

all done but the final sharpening. i went with terrotuf material for the handle. it looks like grey canvas to me. it seems to be very akin to micarta, but it is available in some different colors than are the standard in micarta. feels really nice in hand.
