I just put together a new sword maintenance kit. You can buy a kit online for some $10, but the quality is mediocre. Mine looks like crap, but the materials are actually high quality. I made the mekugi-nuki from a cut-down jeweler's hammer. The gun oil is good ol' Gunzilla (somehow appropriate for katana).

thats a nice kit! I heard you can make your own choji oil with some mineral oil with a touch of clove oil.
