was out for awhile last night looking at mars and Saturn

not the best seeing, still a bit humid here as we're not quite out of monsoon season but Saturn looked pretty awesome - the ring plane is almost vertical with a very distinctive gap and some color bands visible

was using a 6mm eyepiece for about 125X - always an amazing sight

unfortunately I was out a bit too late to see Jupiter before it went below my field of view

Saturn is probably the most impressive thing I have seen through a telescope.

It’s impressive seeing 4 big beautiful planets spread across the southern sky. Even if our San Diego suburb they present a grand sight with the naked eye, and with even a small telescope they are awe-inspiring.

Greg, I need to talk to you about Tucson.
Stan

I’ve enjoyed seeing the planets but have enjoyed watching the Andromeda Galaxy through my Steiners.

Stan - we can work that out - I might be enticed to head over to the seacoast for a change of scenery - perhaps next weekend if the planets are all still up and about Smile

can you spring for coffee?
