I watched the clip and thought it seemed logical. But he lost me when he stated that Millennials will become heroes. I think they are in fact responsible for many of the things that currently plague us.

I’ll have to watch the video, but before I do, it feels prudent to state that I’ve noticed we have a tendency to forget that it was Millenials, by and large, who were shipped off to Iraq and Afghanistan over the last 20 years.

*Edit- Watched it. Hard to disagree with any of it except his assertion that the Parkland kids are at all representative of Millenials. I was born in '83, so technically I'm in that group. I have precisely fuck-all in common with people like David Hogg.

I'm '83 as well. I prefer Oregon Trail generation.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

Me too. Haven’t shown that article to another person our age who doesn’t feel like it’s a more adequate description of us.

Hard to disagree with the video. I'll add the book to my list.
