I was just thinking of her. She sent me a pair of hand knitted beanies for me and my son (who wasn't born yet.) Everyone's favorite photo of us still x10 years later. Is him 1 day old & us wearing matching beanies. I still wear it every winter & it's my favorite. Random acts of kindness in this place are only part of what makes it what it is. RIP Paragon. Sorry to hear this. She made a lasting impression on me years ago. I never met her but I enjoyed her presence when she was here. Something about her screen name just fit perfectly. Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here. Alison had a family of cats. One of them constantly terrorized its mother and siblings. Shortly after Pippi, my beloved Corgi girl, died, Alison asked whether my wife and I would take the cat into our home. I have never been a cat lover. I don't dis-like them, but they never really appealed to me either. However, my wife is a sucker for cats, so we became a one-cat household. Alison's cat, Shadow, has lived with us for about six or seven years now, and has buddied up to me, although my wife is the cat's clear favorite.
