The housing development next to where I live, built in the late 60's to early 70's, has had one family "relocated", they up and vanished one day. House was boarded up for close to a decade. When anyone tried to inquire about purchasing the house they were met with official "I'm sorry we can't go into it"s. I know the people who own it now and asked them about it and they said they knew very little facts. But purchasing it was out of the ordinary and there was very little info available on the home or the change of hands in the mean time. (but yeah, something .gov happened)

In that same development there have been two other mob hits. One in the late 70's, they found him shot in the head in the trunk of a car at Laguardia airport. The other mid to late 90's, shot in his driveway.

I've always found the likelihood of these three unrelated incidents, so close together kind of strange, and wondered if this wasn't a place that back then, people were relocated TO? Or was it just a place mobsters moved to en mass?
