Call me a cynic , but I am of the opinion that when people get sick and tired of being sick and tired....then and only then will they go to the doc.

Time will tell....always does.

Times is part of it too. But I have to be pretty bad off to go to the Dr. outside of my annual physical.

I’ll be going first thing tomorrow if this is not settled out in the AM.
Soup at lunch again today was the only extended relief.

Strep test was negative.
Dr. Looked in my throat and said there is not a chance in the world you don’t have strep.

10 days of antibiotic and some liquid numbing stuff.

Three shots of Irish Whiskey in a large cup of hot decaf Tea.

You'll sleep for about 10 hours and sweat it out of you.

Feeling a bit better. Swallowing is not as bad. What really still sucks is yawning that still hurts pretty bad.
Pharmacist said the numbing stuff numbs everything in the mouth so don’t eat or drink for 45 minutes. Did not like the sound of that so I did not bother using it.

I wish that I could do this, I used to really like that drink.

Both my doctor and the pharmacist have told me that grapefruit in any form is a huge no-no for me.

Apparently, statins (for cholesterol) and grapefruit do not play well together.

Curiously, the med guys tell me that grapefruit is the only citrus that is forbidden, so the trusty old screwdriver would be just fine to drink.

Grapefruit juice has an enzyme that makes the medications many times more powerful. Grapefruit juice shouldn't even be on the premises of an Assisted Living Facility or any other long term care facility.

Sambucol would have cleared it up and is only $10 for a 4 ounce bottle at Walmart while the bandits at CVS get $16 for the same size bottle. Mad
