wingfootWhat's the scoop on Fulton, GA? Edit - I meant Fairburn Update page 2
I live in Peachtree City and it's an awesome place to live but it comes at a price, the property taxes are very high. We do have a low crime rate and very good schools.

TirodI grew up some in Atlanta when young, one house is now an off ramp.
Looking at the map, it suggests the county was gerrymandered when dividing the state into political districts. Recent news of it's election practices heavily reinforces that.
The more common practice of moving OUT of a metro area does leave the inner metros scratching for good help and as reported new hires get better pay than old hands at the same business. It takes substantially more money to incentivize people into working in what can't be called suburbia any more. While the north side of the county wasn't in the news much, some parts of Atlanta were/are a hot spot of political activism - and IIRC there's no law allowing peaceful protesters to be shoved off the road unlike some other states.
All food for thought and YMMV.

vulrathI've been looking at Peachtree City and Fairburn more closely. If things go my way, I'm leaning more toward PTC. The hotel I stayed at when I was training at NCR is about 20 minutes away from the aforementioned "opportunity," for reference.
I'm not worried about schools just yet as I don't have kids, but I understand that might hurt resale value. All I want is a 3 bed, 2 bath house with at least a 2 car garage for my car and tools in a decent neighborhood.
I'm supposed to get more details later today.

vulrathUpdate: so I passed on the deal. Company was Visible SCM. I decided that what they were offering didn't offset disrupting my entire social circle and separating me from my family. It didn't help that all of this stuff went down while I was dealing with the passing of my grandfather.
