Is lefty harassment a real issue where you live? How much of the country does their astroturf protests really affect.

Down here in the Florida Panhandle, not at all. Yeah the Occupy Wallstreet types camped outside of the government buildings for a couple of weeks, but I honestly think it was more the homeless people glad they didn't have to pick up and move every night.

I think it's because partly that some of the activities you see happening in DC can get a protester legitimately and legally shot & killed down here. IE, threatening people, getting in their faces, pushing them around, etc.

My only fear of the left is that they will damage someone's ear drums from all the screaming.

they are very deeply entrenched here in Tucson - far left, but no so far left that they are having any real noticeable effect

they're merely like flies buzzing around a pile of cow shit in the heat of summer, and hopefully with the upcoming elections next month a few of them will be removed from office

I don't think we'll get big gains, but I think we will make some progress

Ever!"), but he trails Kaine by about 20 points with less than a month to go.

Way out here on this end of the state, it's fairly solidly red. Except for the county I'm in, which has been infested by disgruntled NoVa people, who bring their crummy politics with them. The influence is heavy in the two universities nearby, though I suspect the local community college community is "on our side" instead.

As to the topic of control, I think the influence is growing. Does it put fear in me? Not yet, as there are still plenty of good ol' country boys around who are very quick to remind a control grabber that "that s**t ain't gonna fly around here."

And yes, Corey Stewart had better get his doo-doo in a pile, and quickly.

God bless America.

I live in SW PA. Pittsburgh area - full of LEE-Bore-Als, just like any metropolitan area of this country. No longer go into the city for anything other than to renew our LTCF (5 year) and my Retired Officer LEOSA qual card getting signed by the Sherriff each year (PA requirement...)

The county, Allegheny - predominantly lee-bore-als, but the counties surrounding it... not.

Before the last presidential election, my wife and I would drive around the counties north, west, and south of Allegheny and see numerous Trump signs.

They timidly make themselves known around here. I guess they can't help it. Compared to the general culture here, they are freaks and stand out. No biggie though. We mostly ignore them. But if they come to do damage....

They have their strength in numbers here, the mob mentality.

I still wear my gun and NRA T Shirts. A MAGA shirt or hat would most certainly get my ass run over.

I live in Chicago, need I say more?
I do however, live in a district that has the ONLY republican Alderman in the city.
VERY little crime around my parts. Police, Fireman, Judges, all around me.
I work in the ghetto west side and have for 28 years. I do not hold myself back when speaking with minorities. Its fun, they NEVER have any rational explanation for the Democratic views they parrot.FOOLS!

Like dewhorse, I live in the north(eastern) part of DFW. I don’t fear so much as I’m displeased with the influx of west coast transplants that do follow the lead of their slave masters. We don’t see much of the nonsense here until something happens that the left feels is ripe for a news worthy photo opt. Even at that it’s mostly short lived. But having said all that, I still carry and stay on alert.

Much like the Florida Panhandle, getting in somebody's face over politics will very likely get you knocked on yer ass here.

LOTS of lefties and they'll trot out their talking points and yak you into a coma if you start the conversation, but they don't get pushy about it.

Might be different in say, Portland, but out here in the sticks that's how it is.

Californians are pouring into my area so it's definately changing the politics. Washoe & Clark counties are pretty much blue now. The rest of Nevada is red.
Looking to move in 2-3 years to MT or WY. I live in WY in the 80's and gave been wanting to go back ever since I left.

Welcome to Massachusetts, Boston, Somerville,Brookline and Cambridge; the behavior is the accepted norm. Republicans and conservatives are deplorables we have the biggest RINO governor in the country. The state is one party rule leftist socialist democrat. We are the utopia for Clinton, Schumer, Warren and Ocasio-Cortez.

My town. ~500 population

Almost 2 to 1 voted for Trump in '16 in our voting district.
In TN only 4 counties out of 95 went D in '16 for pres.

For November, I do have a nearby neighbor that put up yard signs supporting Dems for the
TN Governor and US Senate races.

This means WAR!

The next week his next door neighbor on the other side put up yard signs for the Republican candidates. (Bill Lee for Gov. Marsha Blackburn for US Senate)

This week I'm putting up TWO each for the Republicans on my big corner lot.

Suck that commie bitch! Your signs are out outnumbered 3 to 1 now within a quarter mile of your house!

Not a problem here in South Florida, even though there are a lot of left leaning people (the left controls Miami, Ft. Laud, and WPB voting during elections). But they stay quiet and never hear anything out of them.

I have the pleasure of living in the biggest communist stronghold in Minnesota, St. Louis County. It's so bad here, the actively recruit welfare cases from other areas to move here!

You put up anything conservative/Republican in your yard, on your vehicle; it will be vandalized.
