I'd like to be included in this karma, so count me in please, and thanks.

I will be in NYC this Independence Day with a bunch of my friends, carrying on an annual tradition of a visit to Ground Zero, followed by a barbeque and then watching the Macy's fireworks display from the middle of the East River, all on the boat, followed by a leisurely cruise down the river, through the harbor, and across the bay back to home in Jersey.

Please give me a chance... I carry in my work van a small paper booklet of our constitution... with that said I still think the most profound words our founding father wrote was the last sentence of the Declaration of Independence:

" And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."

Those words till hit me hard when I think about what signing that meant to them.

I would love a shot at it. I'll likely be spending it at my buddy's place with him and his family cooking on the grill, having a cold one or two, hanging out in or by the pool and generally celebrating our freedom. By exercising it. He's retired Air Force, so if I win, I plan on gifting it to him as a thank you for his service.

That's a pretty awesome karma. I'd love to be included.

My wife and I will be taking our three year old to the annual 4th of July Oakley Rodeo. My wife (who some here know is French and not a US citizen) loves going to this rodeo mainly for all the American patriotism that is displayed. It really does put a lump in my throat every time we've gone. I can't wait to see how my daughter reacts to the rodeo and the truly profound expression of love and appreciation for this country that is shown.

Please include me; we will be having our daughter and her husband (a police officer) and our grandchildren over for a cookout. Then maybe, depending on fire conditions, we may have some fireworks to go watch.

No special plans for the 4th, wife and I will enjoy a "cool" lunch (sandwiches and potato salad) and later in the evening watch our town's fireworks display from a parking lot near our house.

I will be firing up the Weber Smokey Mountain and doing some ribs and potatoes, have the girlfriend meet my mother for the first time, and then either go see a local fireworks display or just have our own fireworks display, depending on the weather.
