Call it my nearly 10K and nearly 138 month anniversary Karma. Razz

To be eligible you must have read this and post something about what you plan to do to celebrate the 4th this year. Will draw sometime that day and ship to the lucky winner.

I was going to let the winner pick a color, but apparently Dave is selling out of these quick and only two colors left, so the dark chocolate brown version is what I've ordered and had shipped to me, will forward along to the lucky person picked by karmanator. May be early following week to ship after I return from our weekend on the lake with family!

I'd love to be included. We'll probably attend the town breakfast and then take a ride to someplace cool. Barbecue that evening.

Please throw my name into the hat, thanks for the chance.

Just flying the colors here at home, and doing a little grilling for the fourth.

I would love this opportunity.

My buddy and I plan to get the Stearman out and fly it around.

The Stearman was a primary trainer during WWII for new pilots. Its an awesome airplane and one with much much history.

Thank you!!!

Regards,

P.

That's a very handsome book! Also one of the most important documents in history!

Thank you for the generous 4th of July Karma!

Please add me to the drawing. The plan is to travel west for the holiday to Shenandoah.

My extended family owns property in the Shenandoah Valley, VA. The Shenandoah Valley, is just 2 hours away from where I am now, but worlds away from the traffic, attitude, and heat - that Fairfax County, VA experiences during the summer!

Please count me in. The will be our first 4th of July since retirement. We are empty nesters fro the summer so we are going to spend a 'quiet' night at home. Will bring the dogs in so they won't suffer from the noise.

I'm in, please.

We usually run a 4th of July 5k with friends and family. At night we watch fireworks from the hillside of an old church that has a 270 degree view for about 80 miles.

Enter me, please? And thank you.

I'll be joining my neighbor for a cookout on the 4th. He's got young kids and said to me, "Come on over. We'll be cooking and celebrating, and teaching the kids the importance of this day."

Man, I've got great neighbors! Big Grin

God bless America.

Count me in.

Since retiring from the navy, July 4th has taken on a new meaning. When i consider the date being a celebration of our country's independence i realize that for that independence, I was willing and ready to give my life so others can enjoy it.

I now sit back, spend the day smoking ribs and/or brisket, and raise [multiple] beers to those currently at sea just as i was during five of my 23 July 4ths in the navy.

Of a side note - the BEST 4th of July fireworks I have ever seen was in 2000 when our ship hit Singapore. We were invited to the US Embassy there where, on a football field, fireworks were set up within one endzone area and those viewing were allowed to be as close as the opposite end's 20 yardline. We were on our backs watching the show while smoking genuine Cubans (much to the chagrin of those around us). It was awesome.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
