I've actually heard that comment a couple of times in my lifetime. It's hard to believe that anyone can be that stupid, but they can.
They belive milk and eggs come from a market, too, and don't know about cows and hens.

Well, these are the same people that believe EV cars don't pollute (despite perhaps their electricity coming from coal/gas).

What is a vegan's opinion on carnivore's in nature? When a lion bags an antelope, this is acceptable, despite the lack of consent, because it's nature? Because humans have other options? Because humans have a conscience? Or what in their mind makes it okay for lions?

At what point in natural history did it become unacceptable for humans to eat meat? One wonders how many of these useful idiots would be alive today if people stopped consuming meat, stopped curbing population growths, only relied on fruits and veggies including during droughts and pestilence back then.

Hmmm...Do you think Dolly Parton ever had this problem in her lifetime? (Asking for a friend)

I have often wondered if humans are high enough on the intelligence scale to really competently distinguish between "Humane vs Inhumane" or "Moral vs Immoral"? The insane belief that earth has the only life forms in the universe has led us to feelings of grandeur in the area of comprehension of values.

(Then again, my competency in classifying sane vs insane just might come into question! Cool)

Vegan: An individual that believes that due to dietary choice, they are morally superior to you and therefore has earned the right to dictate your food choices simply because you disagree. This can be accomplished in varying degrees from dirty looks & smug comments to attempts to sabotage elements of the supply chain that do not align with their beliefs.

They often employ socio-idiotic narratives spoon fed to them by others. When challenged with even the most simple facts they often fly into a rage and begin chanting or utilizing other forms of tantrum that most left behind around age 5.

Vegans are easily identifiable with little effort as they will make it VERY clear, at every opportunity, that they are in fact... vegan.

My experience has been a basic tenet of Veganism is to lecture and scold non-Vegans, as well as to tout the superiority of those who choose to be Vegan. Every one of my friends that are Vegan have that air of moralistic almightyness about them, some subtle, some blatant.

That is exactly my problem with it. Atheists, too.

I think vegetarians are making a diet choice choice that they think will be beneficial to themselves.

I think vegans are making a diet choice that is grounded in political activism. Health benefits, real or imagined, have little bearing on the decision.

Well, I have friends and close friends. Some that I call friends are really no more than aquaintances, so yeah....I get your point. I try to get along with everyone.

Take duck, you dont eat the ones that eat fish (you can, but the meat is gamier) we eat the ones that are herbivores, so...

when the SHTF and times get really bad, I propose we eat the vegans first, they'll taste better
