I don't know what the reasons were. I'm thinking he thought he could use China against Russia.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

He is "Erev Rav" (those who also came out from Egypt when G-d brought us out...)

Our people have been vexed and troubled with them since, and will continue.

They are worse than our sworn enemies.

I find him despicable, and like a cancer among us, that lies in wait, for the time to metastasize and bring disease and death.

Not only to the Jewish people, but the world.

Psalm 41:9 "He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me."

Jewish people see "bread" as the way "G-d, feeds our souls, not only the literal, physical act of eating bread (from the planting, growing, harvesting, grinding, preparing and eating), but the spiritual understanding that "bread from the earth, provided by G-d, and in "partnership", our efforts, sustain us physically, and spiritually, and without G-d, our efforts are in vain, and should we not be involved, G-d's "efforts" are wasted on us.

Kissinger (and all Erev Rav) partake of the bread, "pretend" to be involved in the process of bringing forth the bread, physical and spiritual, and yet have "lifted heel against us", or done that which many understand as betrayal, sedition, and such.

I will not mourn his passing, and hope to see it, in my lifetime.

Remember that funny incident where he dropped his glasses into the toilet at the nuclear plant in Springfield?

Apropos of nothing, every time I hear his name I hear the chorus from that Monty Python song about him in my head.
