Entitled assholes. Typical leftist mentality. Not a surprise at all and I’m glad they were dumb enough to put their mental illness on full display so it wasn’t limited to future family discussions with uncle Dave having to explain his side of the story. Now EVERYONE knows just what kind of assholes they are.

I would have mailed her a single dollar bill, just so she didn't think I forgot about giving a wedding gift.

We didn't invite my uncle to our wedding because he is a convicted pedophile and really creepy. The few times my wife had interacted with him prior to our wedding (family funerals and such) he followed her around and really creeped her out. I figured she didn't need to deal with that at our wedding. We caught some grief from other family members for it, didn't really care. Didn't get a gift, didn't expect one, and if we had we'd have likely sent it back.

I can relate to Dave. My wife and I have family and friends that dropped us like a hot rock during the Trump Presidency.

My niece, a raging ignorant Leftist progressive demanded that her mother not vote for Trump in 2020. When my sister stated she would vote for him, my niece turned on her heel and stomped away. She hasn’t spoken to my sister since. My niece won’t be in the same room as me because I am a nazi. Lol

I can honestly say that if anyone shuns me because of my conservative beliefs , then they have done me a big favor .People like that tend to be very outspoken and try to control conversations . I would no longer have to tolerate their stupidity .

Dave should double down and send more money to the kids who were smart enough to invite him.

Or better yet…

A significant donation to the Trump ‘24 campaign with her name, address and email as the donor. That way she will be bombarded with emails and letters as a weekly reminder of her stupidity!

Trust me , once the RNC get's your donation the fundraising arm of the group will badger you forever . My mother was a staunch Democrat and would contribute a little something every year . She's been gone for three years and I still receive fundraising requests at least once a month addressed to her . They all work the same .

Same here. One of them heard I took my son (then age 12) to the gun range and went berserk. She called me up, screaming all kinds of abuse about what an unfit father I was, then hung up and would not talk to me for more than 5 years.

When I canceled my Post subscription in 2015, I was offered lower and lower subscription fees which I declined, it still took them almost two years to stop sending me the paper. Newspapers make their money from advertising, the subscription fee is just to (partially) cover the cost of delivery, they still send me their weekly free coupon/advertising circular that I have explicitly asked not to get multiple times (I quit trying to cancel once I realized it was futile). I'd be very surprised to find that I am not counted on the list of recipients of the paper that they present to advertisers to justify their rates.

Sorry for the thread drift, and few here need to learn that Bezos's TWP is even more evil than they suspect.

Maybe a nice gift subscription to Hillsdale College’s Imprimis publication. They’d probably be afraid they’d burst into flame just glancing at it. Big Grin

That's a brilliant idea. My brother was an (R) state legislator whose final term ended in 1996. He is still getting a complimentary Imprimis subscription to this day! Eek She'll probably never stop getting them.
