Perhaps others more knowledgable will chime in. I can only say that I have used my iPhone 12 in Europe, South Africa and Japan by replacing the sim, so I would think your Iphone 13 pro will work fine, providing it is unlocked, of course, which I imagine it is, by now.

I would think all you have to do is put a Global or Smart Simm card. This way you can add Load when you balance is low.

An internet search reveals many considerations for the proposed gift. Many factors. Please read as the answer is not simple.

Extremely technical in this case is necessary.

Follow the advice and do an internet search. Lotta hoops to jump through.

How is the trip going? There now?

No I’m not ‘asking for a friend’ wondering myself.

iPhones mostly have all the same frequencies all over the world, but you'll have to check if your iPhone is unlocked from your carrier first.

Great to hear, I’m rather smitten myself. I’m looking at mid August now, 4th time over.
