The giant fertilizer spreaders, giant tractors, ag wagons, tanks , trailers and trucks are out and about. Especially on the county and township roads. . Leave early , 18 m.p.h. to 28 m.p.h. will seem like chilly molasses through a straw. Tailgating them will make matters much worse, use caution most don't signal when turning. This is farm country, they're just a fact of life. And most of them are pretty nice guys. I'll take tractors and combines over city traffic any day of the week.

I spent 10yrs operating one of those sprayers/spreaders. I miss the chaos of planting season. 16 hr days for a month or 2. A genuine sense of accomplishment when you folded in the booms moving to the next field. Knowing you had an appointment there in another piece of equipment when the crop got up out of the ground. ----------The weather is here I wish you were beautiful----------

I learned really quickly about driving slowly on Wisconsin rural roads during Spring and Harvest season. Farmers would often get out on Sunday and drive two miles an hour around curves to see how well the neighbor's corn is growing and how straight the rows were.

Reflex , I drove a nurse truck for two springs back in "76-77 " I'd like to say I enjoyed it , But you don't get time to enjoy it while it's happening. Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. Neck Ties, Hats and ammo brass, Never ,ever touch'em w/o asking first
