I see what you did there. As to the original question: Twelve O’Clock High Casablanca The Maltese Falcon The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings trilogies The Blue Max The Dawn Patrol (1938) All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) ...and lots more, but those are the ones that come to mind at first thought --------------------- LGBFJB "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it." — Mark Twain “Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.” — H. MUCH better than the 1930 original. Errol Flynn was terrific in the remake.. Chock full of anti war messages. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them".

Get Off My Lawn |
Funny, years ago, the two movies that I would watch while cleaning guns in the family room are The Great Escape and Kelly's Heroes. Always those two, plus my young son loved them. Other movies pertaining to this thread- The Godfather Bad News Bears (Walter Matthau) Citizen Kane Aliens Jaws The Searchers Stepbrothers Dirty Harry "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

Loved those Texas one room schools |
We usually wait a few years before watching a movie again. Among our favorites: Band of Brothers Fiddler on the Roof Hondo How the West Was Won The Last Picture Show Michael Porky's Shane Just about any movie about fighter pilots. Thats what I wanted to be when I was a kid. I was even taking flying lessons near Grants, New Mexico, when I met this lovely blonde. I never did get back to flying lessons but I've had a wonderful life with her. _________________________ "Louis was furious with the sharks. Age Quod Agis |
In addition to a number of them already mentioned, I like: Casablanca Key Largo They Were Expendable The Longest Day Rio Bravo True Grit The Lord of the Rings trilogy, but the last one is a bit lame..., I can skip the final reel. The version of The Three Musketeers with Raquel Welch The Big Red 1 "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."
