I know, first world problem.....

In recent years, charities have been including personalized address labels in their mailings. Some charity mailings have included 50-100 of the darn things. It must work for them, as this has proliferated to the point I have accumulated enough to use on perhaps 300 centuries worth of outgoing mail (slight hyperbole here, but still....)

Other than putting them on mail (obvious) and on magazines, when heading off to firearms training (useful when there are a lot of very similar looking mags on the ground) I haven't come up with any great ideas about using them. But I hate to throw them out.

Any thoughts from the membership?

I either used up (unlikely) or lost (how?) my stash. I used to have what seemed like a lifetime supply but I'm down to the last sheet I can find now.

I don't use them often, but I will admit I take a certain delight in slapping on an NRA-branded label when sending a note or card to an anti knowing that it will well and truly jerk their chain.

I used to keep some in my range bag to put on score sheets at matches.

I put them on those forms that have to be mailed to Menards to get their rebates in lieu of writing my address on the form.

Winner so far for best use. I usually send my guilt trips from not donating "every month" to the land fill.

I've not gotten a lot with logos, but do have a lot that are way more frilly than I'd like. Meh - use them anyway, but the few times I put the rare item in the mail I've usually printed the envelope label on PC with return.

Funny return address story - illustrating the heights of how cheap folks can be. I worked with an accountant who would mail his bill payments (circa mid 80's) with the proper address, but not put a stamp on the envelope. He'd also use the same recipient address for the RETURN address, so either way it got to them. Roll Eyes

Funny, I was just thinking about this. We are flying out for vacation next week. I told my wife to put one on our babys car seat, stroller and pack & play that we are bringing.

Another use is for raffles/pot lucks instead of writing your name on all of them.

I take them to the NRA Convention and use them when filling out different forms at the booths. Although I think a lot of them use terminals now.

good Idea !

I had a neighbor in AZ that hid them in his bino case camera case , tool boxes, fishing tackle , and gun bags,

so if they ever got stolen or if there was ever any question about ownership, the proof was right there with the gear

I use them for filling out PITA forms that often dont have room enough to actually write on. I keep several of them my wallet.

.

Whoa, there. Last sheet of a lifetime supply seems mighty ominous.

I am a musician and use what are called "fake books". For those that don't know these are volumes that contain lead sheets and chord symbols for all jazz and "jazz standards" music. They run about fifty dollars a pop and I have a ton of them. They are all marked in a standardized way both on the front, back and on certain pages.

These free mailing labels were just made for that job.
