I'm in Michigan and even I can tell that's some pretty sad BBq. Those New Yorkers are in their own sad little world.

Good lord that was frustrating to watch.
I don’t know how Cruz could maintain and remain professional in that conversation. So many just wrong statements being stated as fact that were just delusional.
I’ve always liked Ted. Even more respect after watching that “interview “.

The college standard of debate;
when you don't like what the other side is saying, shut them down, cut them off, over talk, anything to keep the other side silent.

Joe, 15 or so years ago, used to be one of the few conservatives (albeit a "squishy" one) on that channel. I think he has been replaced by a pod.

On another note, am I the only one that wants to punch Joe in the throat to get him to shut up?

Not at all! He is a condescending blowhard of a jerk. I have a hard time not believing he isn't just trying to impress his new squeeze.

Those buns are just pathetic.

As my dad used to say: "like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest"

Schmoe was saying that since states have limited AR's and that the supremes have not been willing to hear those cases, they aren't constitutionally "certified" Ted explains that the supremes not hearing those cases doesn't mean a thing, that they hear 1 percent of all cases submitted. Ted also says AR's are "certified" due to being in common use. Schmoe likely thinks he's right since he's smarter.

^^^.
He's such an arrogant jerk and she reminds me of the little fake doggie in the back window of the car shaking her head up and down when the car's in motion.
She adds nothing of substance to the conversation except to announce station breaks. I guess she's the token female heterosexual (?) on the network, added for diversity.

In that battle of wits Cruz was driving a tank and Joe was throwing pebbles.

I watched it all too. I think Cruz missed an opportunity to dispute Scarborough’s opening monologue about the
M-16, and its “lethality.” My understanding is that the ability of a soldier to carry more rounds of ammunition was an important factor in the development of the 5.56. It was a mistake to allow him to say that the AR-15 we own, was the result of the search for a more “lethal” cartridge. More lethal than an M-1 Garand, or an M-14? I don’t think so.

I think the only way you could argue the M16 is more lethal than an M14, is the possible ability to score more hits on full auto with the M16. Even though breakfast Schmoe would disagree, the M16 is less lethal than the M14 it replaced. Wonder what kind of confused BS Schmoe would come back with when told the M16 has nearly half the energy of the M14 cartridge it replaced.

The answer is Schmo doesn't know what he thinks he knows. He uses aggression, condescension, gratuitous assertions and interruption to advance his cause. He is a smug and arrogant nit wit.

You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Entirely possible, though Cruz had a rather impressive career in the courtroom... He may embarrass lots of lawyers.

Reminds of the meme that reads:
"MSNBC accuses Senator Ted Cruz of "utter ignorance" about the Supreme Court's Heller decision on gun control. The network demand he read Heller - ignorant that he was the attorney who argued Heller and won."
