For some reason, I couldn’t get this embedded. Sorry!

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

If Ted Cruz were to be at odds with Newt Gingrich and they were to engage each other in debate, the universe would explode.

That would be a glorious debate. They wouldn't have to be at odds. Just tell one to take the opposing view. They are both good enough to do that.

Moldy Joe Scarborough was still a snot nosed kid when Uncle Sam dropped my ass off in the Florida Panhandle.

And I call him "Moldy Joe", because, like a piece of newly minted "Wonder Bread", inviting and desired by all, he has become old and moldy and worthless over time... for anything.

He is a sad, despicable, little man.

May he die of a horrible disease, rotting from the inside out, with much pain and nothing to assuage the progression, in my lifetime.

I noticed he referred to himself as a lawyer. It must have been a mail order course.

I love it when folks try to out legal my Senator. Where does Joe come off with saying that the 2nd doesn’t protect the AR15. Willful ignorance at best.

Joe the 2nd amendment exists to provide for a defense by the people from a tyrannical Federal government!! But you know that you tool.

I watched that whole thing. Cruz carries himself very well and manages to stay on point despite Joe's attempts to drag him into his semantic, emotional, pipe dream.

On another note, am I the only one that wants to punch Joe in the throat to get him to shut up?

I agree on both points. I would never ever want to debate Sen Cruz, doesn't usually end well if he's allowed to finish his sentences.

Cruz was brilliant. He stayed calm and on point.

Joe is a typical liberal- everything is image, posturing and symbolism. They absolutely detest facts and will attempt to swing the discussion into emotion whenever they encounter actual factual (I.E. logical) arguments.
Was he ever a real conservative?

I didnt make it to the 2A part of this as vids eat my data. I dont enjoy their laughing and making references to President Trumps time in Office. Because, he won the election, he is Our President, Cruz is not. The only reason President Trumps time in Office is a bit different, and thats putting it mildly, is because of the good old boy fucks who surround and wont show their support to him. Senator Cruz didnt make the cut, President Trump did! He is not one of those boring old plastic banana slugs. MSNBC can shove it.

Cruz was a national champion debater in school. He turned pro in various jobs as a lawyer, including Solicitor General of Texas. He had clerked for an appellate judge, then for Chief Justice Rehnquist. I believe I remember Professor Dershowitz saying that he was the best law student he ever had ..... something like that. He graduated Magna cum laud. He has written appellate briefs, argued cases, 9 at the Supreme Court, IIRC.

As a former customer of mine used to brag, he’s “been around the track with the big boys.”
He’s more than a match for the likes of Joe.

Cruz has always rubbed me the wrong way, expression/demeanor wise, but I almost never find myself in disagreement with his positions, and his defense of his positions is almost always perfect.

Joe and Mika managed to make him look like the nice, sincere guy with their posturing and smug expressions. Just watch Mika's face during the last 3rd of the segment. She repeatedly thinks her man has Cruz on the ropes, when nothing could be further from the truth.
