I'm impoverished already, don't need new ideas. But I currently collect bourbon (A H Hirsch, ect) and sterling Muffineer's. Silver dinnerware, broken jeep parts (that I had the pleasure of breaking), tools, a few old guns I still like. I've discovered its fun to go looking for more. I met another old fool at the last antique show who also collects muffineers, but I got the prize of the show by being there first.

I used to collect chainsaws, but discovered when you own too many and don't run them soon none of them will start. No need to have unlimited resources, its more fun to make do with what you have. I guess I'm too old now to add on any grandkids, but I like them. Wish I could add on land, like the lot next door. Its run down and abandoned and for sale, but they want way too much for it. So maybe the unlimited resources would be an advantage.

Ammo.

The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

I don't think I'd have one specific large collection but more along the lines of what I do now with a few hobbies but they would expand. For cars, it'd be a few select ones (mix of practical and fun but would top out at 3 or 4). Guns would be more dedicated to NFA items and would just do a dedicated vault/gunroom. Would pick up more bottles of bourbon though. And would travel, hunt, and fish a lot more. Basically just expand on the current hobbies that are limited by time and money.

The notion of "collecting", or accumulating possessions for for sake of variety or completeness, is wasted on me. I think I'd rather accumulate wealth so that I could spend the money to satisfy needs and wants as they occur.

I'd want to collect muscle cars (which would need a building and shop, of course) and homeless dogs (which would need a building and land, of course).

What would probably show up on my doorstep is missing relatives.

You would not have to find them, if you had unlimited money they would find you.
