Once upon a time, my wife and I considered a move to Oregon, but that got swept off the table when we realized we may have the same problem 5 years down the road. We have good friends in the southern Oregon area (going to visit in a few weeks) and they are conservative transplants from CA, moved years ago. They are now dismayed that CA liberalism is following them, albeit mostly in the northern area.
