I have a friend who owns a pristine 2004 Tacoma with 90,000 miles. Pristine until two months ago when he parked it waaaaaaaay out in the lot of a Home Depot. When he returned he noticed a huge rebar shaped dent in the side of the cab. Can’t have anything nice.

Zip ties would work, too. Cheaper, and you can set it, and forget it.

Funny but definitely staged. Also many modern cars don't have door handles you can easily hook a cuff around.
