Made a friend w/ my UPS driver. They have been doing a good job around here but, swamped. He said it is like Christmas everyday because of the ‘Rona. He said he has never delivered groceries like this before. Everything, it seems, is being ordered online.

We have an awful mail lady. Absolutely the worst mail carrier I've ever seen.

I believe her sister is my mail carrier. This woman has the temperament of a pissed off Rattlesnake.

I think shipping in general has been affected. Maybe there's some fill in positions here and there, being filled which experience wise doesn't help.

Tuesday last week, FedEx delivered a package of mine to a numerically correct address but it was one street over. Thing is I've been getting a FedEx package from the same company EVERY SINGLE TUESDAY for over 3 YEARS. How can you mess up?

Okay, USPS. Package shipped to me from Texas and scheduled to arrive to me here in Alabama ... TODAY ... Well, it isn't here. Tracking indicates my package spent the night in Detroit of all places last night and this morning, the USPS note was. "In Transit, Arriving Late." It's taking the scenic route.

Those are just 2 examples from the last week and honestly, other packages from those carriers have been delivered flawlessly. That said, UPS seems to be the most reliable as far as on time and delivered correctly ... for now.

USPS has been all over the place. From days of delays versus a first class parcel mailed in Oregon Monday that arrived yesterday (Wednesday).

I just received a three day priority shipment from Rock Auto that was sent April 25. They refunded the order in Late May, I bought the part locally instead of trying again.

I emailed their customer service, if they want it back they can send a call tag.

I love the USPS here. I prefer it to every other carrier. Packages move very quickly, plus I get text message updates daily or more often. I routinely receive three to ten small parcels a week, and it is rare that one goes a weird route.

Three separate occasions:
Package shipped from Pennsylvania Priority Mail. On the same day a package shipped from North Carolina first class. Both approx same weight and size.
First class arrives in two days. Priority took 8 days.

Same scenario, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
NJ was Priority, PA was first class. Two days for first class and 13 days for Priority.

Same scenario. First class from North Carolina. Priority from Indiana. First class took two days. Priority took 9 days.

Reshipment from Indiana because the screwed up the order. Shipped first class at my request, even though they were willing to ship priority free of charge. Nope. I want first class.
Arrived in two days.

I figure from here on, first class is the express and priority will just sit in trailers until it slowly makes its was across the country.

Just received a small order from a GunBroker seller via the postal service. Tracking number showed movement every day and arrived one day early.

Sometimes it (USPS) works good, other times not good at all.
