I know there's a thread not too far back but no search I've done has found it....

Looking for decent meat thermometer for charcoal Webers use. I've grown suspicious of my analog stainless model.

On amazon search, first page turns up dozens. Not looking for the 'rhinestone enhanced' model.

Look no further than the Thermapen.

I also have a ChefAlarm from the same company that I use frequently.

I, too, have both. Excellent products and excellent CS. The wire portion of the probe on my ChefAlarm broke. I called them up and they sent me a new one no questions asked.

Yep, Thermapen. Even the HVAC tech that serviced my air conditioning system used one in one of the vents to check the air output last week.

And if the Thermapen is totally out of the budget a very close second is the Thermopop. Not quite as fast but still pretty quick. Both sold by Thermoworks. Either of those far outranks whatever is in 3rd place.

I'm a meat popsicle.

Having established that, did anyone else get a treat w/ their Thermapen/Thermoworks order?
I got Jelly Bellies w/ mine.
At first I was like, wth?
Then I was all like, nom-nom.

I caved last month and bought one.

Led to this perfectly cooked Châteaubriand for my mom on Mother's Day. You'll be happy with the results.

THIS! I'm a BBQ geek, and all my fellow broke BBQ geeks that can't afford a Thermoworks Thermapen get the Thermoworks ThermoPop. An awesome value!

I bought a thermapen based on the forum recommendation and it has been fantastic. My only complaint is that it is right handed operation and I am a lefty. I use it all the time.
