I recently posted some photos of an M44 that I redid. Now that one I had an excuse for, it was previously done in a walnut color so I had nothing to lose. I also have in 1942 Izzy that had original finish but decided to redo it as well. It wasn’t a collectors piece as it had no verifiable history. As a matter of fact I traded my Finn capture for this rifle and a lifetime supply of ammunition for it. My buddy was much more into the Finn than I ever could be so I was happy to do the trade. Anyway here’s the job, I did try to lighten the stain a little bit but it came out very similar to the M 44. Thanks for looking. ![]() ![]() DDG-8 "Sine Timore"

Very nicely done. Was prepping the stocks dents & dings much trouble as it does not at all look like you used filler. Do not necessarily attribute someone's nasty or inappropriate actions as intended when it may be explained by ignorance or stupidity.

^^No filler needed. But my rifles are in very good shape and simply needed the finishes removed and a light sanding. DDG-8 "Sine Timore"

beautiful work. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
