You must be like me and just can’t get enthused to be charged $15k so other people can get $1400. Such a great deal.

Prepared for the Worst, Providing the Best |
I got the last two and should be getting this one as well. I'm not thrilled about the whole thing...I mean, "free" money is nice and all, but it ain't really free...this bill is full of pork, and we're all gonna be paying this off for a long, long time. Our kids and grandkids probably will be, too. I can't opt-out of the stimulus or it's consequences, so ours (like the last two) is going towards paying off the mortgage. That's the last debt we have, and my goal is to be completely debt-free before Biden's idiotic fiscal policies drive our economy into the next great depression.

Oh great! Another money transfer from those deemed unworthy to those deemed worthy. Add in a Huge slice of money skimmed for politicians and their chosen worthy causes and organizations. Next week maybe we can pay reparations to others deemed worthy. “We’re in a situation where we have put together, and you guys did it for our administration…President Obama’s administration before this. That's the wild part. Here's $1400- Don't ask where the rest of the $2,000,000,000,000 went. ____________________________________________________ The butcher with the sharpest knife has the warmest heart.

Nullus Anxietas |
Ours was showing as "Pending" last night. *sigh* I'm not going to say I don't like a "free" $1400, but it isn't free, I didn't earn it, and I don't need it. If the government is going to give away my tax dollars, I'd rather see it go to people who both earned and needed the relief. In fact my wife and I have a friend who's in dire straits. She's both deserving of and in need of it. But because of the way these things are calculated she's being left out in the cold. My wife offered to give her ours. She won't take it. My wife explained we didn't need it and she did. That we didn't really want it. She still won't take it. "America is at that awkward stage. Same here. My severance pay taxes when my former job closed Jan 2020 must have paid for at least 10 stimulus checks. My wife and I get zip. I bet big-screen tv sales must SPIKE everytime there is a stimulus check.

Mine does not. Step up, step up...come get your "free" money! How are we, as a nation, going to pay for all this? More and more taxes? Tax the rich more? Tax our retirement accounts before RMDs set in? There is no free lunch. _________________________________________________________________________ “A man’s treatment of a dog is no indication of the man’s nature, but his treatment of a cat is. Pending in my bank account too, but I don't think ratholing some of it and paying down some debt with the rest is going to do much for "stimulating" the economy.

That online tool is up and running now. They had initially said it wouldn't be available until Monday. It'll tell you when your deposit is scheduled, and the account it's going to. (Should be the same account used for your latest tax payment/refund.)

I'm using my payment to pay my taxes next month. I had a great 2020. If I had filed for 2020 already, I wouldn't be getting the $1400. But based in 2019 taxes, I still qualify.

Check the "Get My Payment" tool at the IRS link above. Nothing's showing in my account either, but the IRS tool says mine's scheduled for deposit on 3/17. They're apparently sending them out in stages.
