I just found a gift card for there yesterday and there’s one nearby so off we went for dinner but I wasn’t waiting an hour for somewhere I haven’t been to before. So we went to our local bar/restaurant.

I don’t think I have ever tried them although there are plenty around. I like to grill my own steaks. Thank you for sharing though.

I've been to the one nearest me just once, with a group. Frankly, I prefer Saltgrass.

Oh and this was about sharing a coupon, not if you think it has good steaks or not.

Thanks for the coupon, I will try it soon.
I am not sure what these other posts are about. I really think they open up any thread and take a dump in it because . . . reasons.

Another Texas Roadhouse fan. My experience over the years is that half the time a restaurant with this kind of decor is a shoe in to suck. This is part of the other half.

For years I made my own and they were damn good. But it is nice to just go let someone else do it when they aren't charging you an arm and a leg.

Definitely our go to. My wife gets the bug for a steak and potato out at minimum every two months. Who am I to argue?

I do like Saltgrass. Loved Sullivan’s when I could afford it.

I've eaten there and it's been okay. Actually 10X better than the 1 time I tried Ruths Chris

^^^^^^^^^^^
That is too bad. If it was bad I would have sent it back. Ruth died a few years back and then the restaurant got crazy with franchises. The original in NOLA is great.

Yeah I was in Florida for a realtor thing with the wife. It was a Tuesday night so they were slow. Way undercooked steak was chewy (a ribeye). They upsold me a topping, horseradish and cheese or something, and it was ice cold. The excuse they gave was, “we can’t make it fresh every night. It is slow tonight.” I told them they damn well better make it fresh or not sell it for the price. Disappointing.

These go to eleven.

Longhorn in Spartanburg, SC is nasty. Last time we were there, they had piles of dirty plates in the dining room. Service was terrible. Food was mediocre, at best. Never been back. We now go to Texas Roadhouse. Good steaks, great service.

Sounds like they totally blew the customer service end of it as well. I have always had good food and service even in the middle of the week which is when I prefer to go. I generally eat in nonfranchise places. The restaurants in our local casinos bend over backwards to please.

P08, it was really nice if you to share that. Thank you.
Doesn’t matter if one likes the food or not.

Ive been all over the US and from my experience Texas Roadhouse is constantly one of the top steakhouses I've dined at. Great steaks at a reasonable price plus they're veteran friendly offering vets 10% discount on meals throughout the year and a free meal on veterans day. The Texas Roadhouse in my area offers 20% off for veterans on Mondays and I can get a 16 oz serlion plus 2 sides and a soda for just over 20 bucks.

i agree, texas roadhouse is one of my favorites!!

Within 15 minutes of my house have a Longhorn as well as a Texas Roadhouse and we prefer the Texas Roadhouse since it appears to be more veteran friendly , better service, and fresher food. ............ PS.......... Our local Texas Roadhouse has a large painted mural paying tribute to the military helicopter (MoJo 69) that crashed killing 11 personel . Some of those members were from the area in and around here........ drill sgt.

Texas Roadhouse is my go to for a casual steak. The 16oz choice sirloin is hard to beat for $22 (used to be $20 until just a few months ago) with two sides and those damn (good) rolls I keep stuffing into my face.

Another Texas Roadhouse fan here. Through my job I’ve eaten at some of the nicest steakhouses in the country but for my money, unless it’s a real special occasion, I’d rather go to Texas Roadhouse.
