Thanks to all of you for the replies. Going to check with the bank tomorrow on a wire or ACH transfer. May be the safest way to do this.

The thing with USPS cashier's checks is that you are out of the money if lost until you get reimbursed through their declaration of lost mail system.
Took me over 3 months to get a $600 check that was lost in transit on an"out for delivery" status.

$600 is a chunk of cash to not have let alone $24,000.
