I don't understand the lack of parking courtesy
This is inconsiderate parking:

The one sign says "Drop Off Only" and the other says "No Parking Any Time". The person doing this is some sort of aerobics instructor. There's a huge, half-empty parking lot mere steps away.

You can thank the growth of cars. The other day I saw a new Honda Civic next to an 80s era Accord. The Civic was bigger.

You wouldn't believe it, but someone DID exactly that, and when they turned OUT of the space, they put a nice longitudinal dent scraping the paint off the rear panel of my F150. Some people shouldn't have been born on the first place. I made the repair myself, but it wasn't a pro job naturally.

Not to pour salt in the wound, but I can't help but wonder if that person "scratched" your F150 intentionally. There are plenty of "angry" people out there who seem to make it their goal to punish people who take up more than 1 parking place...even if there are dozens of other spaces available.

I also park far away when able, but I don't take up more than 1 space...partly because I've heard of so many unfortunate instances such as yours.

Yeah, anyone who parks across the lines or takes up multiple spots is a douchenozzle - large semi or company utility vehicles notwidthstanding.

And yes, I have an old car (16 years old) and IDGAF if you scratch my car with your pristine <insert 'my precious vehicle type'> door. I really, really don't. If you do a lot of damage I'll just claim the insurance.

I won't intentionally damage your (seriously) car but if you are too close, things can happen and car doors do bump at times.

This! There's at least one in every busy parking lot.

Or try the douchebag that parked his motorcycle next to mine in my spot! I was on the end and parked closer to the end line (Just offset from center), leaving extra space for the vehicle next to me. When this douche parks right on the line next to me. Not leaving the person next to me enough room for them to get in. I was pissed and didn't want people to think we were together and possibly damage my bike because of it.

The real issue, is most people HAVE NO CLUE where their vehicle starts and stops or how to drive/park it correctly.

Like this one. And two "Compact" spaces.

I also see no issues really in the OPs post. The only one is that the spaces are too small for most cars.

I park "outback" in the parking lots whether I am driving 2000 chevy truck or my 2012 Hyundai.

I figure walking the few yards is more than worth getting my doors scraped and dented by assholes.

That, and it's good exercise. I park as far away as possible too. In some of the huge parking lots near me, I swear I must log 1/4 mile to and from the store.

The car looks strangely gleeful about it.

For real. Owner needs to paint some teeth on it and a tongue sticking out of the grille.

There is a commercial running on TV about the Hyundai Smart Park. Line the car up, get out of the car and guide it into a space using a remote. The commercial depicts the car going into a space just wide enough for the car. Oh yeah, it unparks as well.

It's going to get worse.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

My sister was a librarian and the library did not have places for staff parking. She had to park her accord in the public spots. I commented on how many door Dings her car had and she replied think about how many different cars parked by hers every day.

"Way out" or not, that is high-risk behavior just asking for what you got from some asshole. If you're really at the ends of the parking lot it won't matter anyway, get in one spot as snuggly as possible.

That is begging for of couple screws to jam in the valves to let all the air out of the tires (no permanent damage, but a PITA to get filled up again)

You cannot know the order in which each car parked from the pic. One of the drivers rolled over and got out on the passenger side. Or the one that didn't back in had passenger seat sex and they both got out one door.

With all due respect to the OP, that's not so bad. The car on the left is a little too close to the line, and probably should have tried to do a bit better, but as others have pointed out those parking spots are too narrow.

I can sympathize because my wife is a poor parker. When I visit her at her place of employment her car is always way to the back and crooked. We have a rear-entry garage and I cringe when she backs in... Frown

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I park next to the cart corral, so my truck doesn't get banged by carts.
