I was leaving work and saw this; either no self-awareness or one or both are passive-progressives.

*neither is my car

Those parking spaces are also stupidly narrow. Not all of us drive a Yaris.

I've notice far worse than that in open parking lots. From the "Giant" Pickum Up Trucks to the very elderly that have not a bit of deapth perception left and park 6" away from the front of the space. And what they can't see straight ahead simply does not exist.

Sadly, I'm not surprised. We have created a nation of self-absorbed idiots who are completely oblivious to anything but "me, me, me!" Witness the same people buying a years' worth of toilet paper.

BTW: You'll find my pickup parked in the dent free zone. I can walk an extra hundred feet just fine.

I had to wait 10 minutes a few days ago for the person who parked so close to my car I could not get into it to come and move his. I'm too old and feeble to try to climb over the console from the passenger side. Admittedly, I had had to park more closely to the driver's side line than usual because of the vehicle parked on the passenger side at the time. There was, however, plenty of room on the other side of the car blocking me.

Regarding the pictured situation: who was last, and how did he/she get out?

Another reason why I will frequently back in.

Puts my passenger side next to one cars passenger side (and I will get as close as I can while staying on my side of the line) and my drivers side to the other cars drivers side.

Both drivers have the most space to get in and out. If they have passengers, the can pull out to let them in.

I park WAY out to avoid dents scratches etc from other vehicle doors, and take up 1.5 spaces (only when way out) in case some idiot decides to park way out right next to me and open their door into the side of my vehicle. You wouldn't believe it, but someone DID exactly that, and when they turned OUT of the space, they put a nice longitudinal dent scraping the paint off the rear panel of my F150. Some people shouldn't have been born on the first place. I made the repair myself, but it wasn't a pro job naturally.

When I park I find a spot where the cars on either side are parked correctly. I want room. Of course, after one of them leave, can't do anything about it if a dimwit pulls in. I believe most NC & SC parking spots are wider than the ones in the DC-area.

I'm with you guys. Doesn't look like those spaces are particularly narrow. Sure, the white car is a little crooked, but still fully inside the line. I probably wouldn't even notice if they were parked next to me - and I'm not exactly skinny - and a bit judgmental when it comes to poor parking jobs.

See no issues here. Want to see lack of courtesy? Snap a pic of some asshole taking up 2 spaces by parking smack over the stripe. Mad
