While there is no dispute that men vs. women in sports is a joke, all women competitions can be quite exciting. Wrestling is not a particularly popular spectator sport, but I can say that female wrestlers, high school, college, and beyond, can be superb athletes that wrestle very well. There is no shame in their game.

I grew up going to women’s volleyball matches, I had 3 sisters. Because of that I have a lifetime hatred of watching what I think is one very boring game. I’m any equal opportunity hater though because I hate the men’s game as well.
All that being said, I can’t imagine watching a volleyball game in a 92,000 seat arena. I’ve watched games in huge arenas before, pro football and baseball, college football, etc. Watching a VB match from the nose bleeds would be an exercise in frustration. It’s a game that you kind of need to see up close or at least -ish to appreciate. So I’m thinking 92k at a college game is nothing more than a publicity stunt. Free tickets, coeds, parties, college stuff.

It is cool that they did this. It is quite a feat. Somewhere in all that though they stated the previous women's volleyball record was like 16 or 18,000. Under 20k probably because that is what an indoor arena seats which is much more reasonable a venue to see volleyball. I am making a reasonable guess that they did some maneuvering/marketing/college stuff/whatever you want to call it, to up the record by over 70,000 people. Still makes it amazing. Still seems like a stunt if you can't pull it off on a regular basis which you can't because those folks at the top of the stadium probably couldn't even see the volleyball lol.
I will be surprised if other colleges don't take up the challenge to try and beat this. They do love their sports in Nebraska though so it will be a tall order.

Have you ever attempted to hit a golf ball ? I'm not a golfer but I have picked up a club and tried to play a time or two . Didn't work out . Those girls on the LPGA tour have my respect ..

If you don't mind me asking, what is the draw for you? I ask because I love soccer, played it all my life in various formats including the junior college level where my skill and talent peaked out lol, but I find soccer incredibly difficult to watch unless it is very high level soccer. Ie, I hate MLS. Can't watch it. Premier league is my bread and butter to watch. I could watch the European leagues as well but the language barrier is easier with the PL.
Watching pro women's soccer is tough. On the World Cup stage I can do it but not even close to entertaining as an everyday watching experience.
So that is my question, what is it about women's soccer (not the national team I get that) game that is the draw?

It's not so much the game as it is the players. My career that I retired from had many contacts with sports. The players in local, age group, scholastic, college, even some Olympic level. I saw the growth of many to become good people. Not all, but most, their joy, their dedication, always impressed me very much. I see that in a lot of the women players.
