Balze, there’s a major difference between an ugly fight and emotional abuse from a master manipulator of a narcissist. I grew up with the latter, he sounds like my father for fuck’s sake. Bet any money he’ll treat his kids the same way. ______________________________________________ “There are plenty of good reasons for fighting, but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God Almighty Himself hates with you, too.”

I found out about this from a Mark Dice video as well. A shame, I like what he's done in the past. Hopefully he can own up, recover and continue? Maybe? There is no excuse for treating one's wife in that manner, much less when she's pregnant. It sure didn't feel like a one-off. Reputation is hard to build and easy to ruin. Reminds me of an old joke: "A Scottish man walks into his local pub looking glum and sits down for a few drinks. The bartender pours him a shot and he slams it and continues with his gloomy demeanor. The bartender pours another shot – same thing. After a while the bartender asks the man what’s got him so depressed. The man answers, “You see that barn over there? I built that barn with me own two hands but do they call me William the barn builder? No.” The bartender is confused but the man continues, “You see that bridge over there? I built that bridge stone by stone with me own two hands but do they call me William the bridge builder? No. You fuck one sheep though…” Arc. ______________________________ "Like a bitter weed, I'm a bad seed"- Johnny Cash "I'm a loner, Dottie. A rebel." - Pee Wee Herman Rode hard, put away wet. Likely another example of a control freak, and that surely is not the wife. Q

I am not defending his behavior. There are certainly more than a few red flags. BUT given that my best friend recently went through a separation and came preeeeeety damn close to a divorce I cannot help but consider the knowledge I have of my friends situation as it evolved/devolved over years to this cluster that Crowder is facing. Full disclosure I am not a big fan of Steven Crowder. I have always found him to be slightly abrasive. To a degree I always just assumed it came with the territory. If I was a CREEPY FN A-HOLE and recorded my friends interactions with his wife over the course of just a week. I could easily selectively edit either party to be the villain. It takes two to tango. This isn’t excusing Crowder’s awful behavior but rather openly wondering if this is the full story. This also looks bad for Crowder as he has a history of recording business deal/contract offer calls gone south etc… I’d say no matter what the guy is easily having one of the worst years of his life. Yeah that sucks for him. But it also gives him a tremendous opportunity to learn from his mistakes and improve. Social media and our evil/soulless corporate media lack two things more than anything. Objective honesty and redemption. I think in the end it will be to their detriment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

How would you work the part where the husband tells the wife in a very harsh and threatening tone to "WATCH IT!! WATCH IT!!" while he points his cigar at her? How would you get him to do that? Or is there some sort of script they're following? And what would those lines in the script mean, exactly? It sounds like a physical threat. When the husband knocks his pregnant wife around, would he have any additional lines, or would he just wail on her because "she asked for it"?

Before this all came to light I enjoyed Crowder's content. I had never subscribed to mug club but I had considered it. I'm glad that this came to light before I did. I do have a Daily Wire subscription which I enjoy, as well as a lot of other content such as Matt Taibbi on substack.

You could record me for years and not be able to selectively edit me treating my wife like that. Insisting that a pregnant woman handle medicine that can harm a fetus? Not letting her take the car to go get groceries? Ridiculous. I have a FRACTION of the means of Crowder and my wife has her own vehicle, liberty to go to the store at her leisure, and if I was sitting on my ass smoking a cigar while ordering her to do tasks while 8 months pregnant she would rightfully rebuke me. But that would never have happened because when she was pregnant I did everything I could to make things easier for her.

I'm confused, I thought this was ring camera footage, not some sort of covert recording. Even if it's some sort of secret recording... that's not fancy editing, that's someone treating their pregnant wife like dirt. Why are you guys making excuses for this? Editing? Bad day? Stunt doubles? It's pretty clear he created this, and while his surgery and medical issues are a factor in his life, they aren't a _reason_. People go through terrible shit every day and can still treat their family with decency. Arc. ______________________________ "Like a bitter weed, I'm a bad seed"- Johnny Cash "I'm a loner, Dottie. I first thought, maybe a year ago, that Steven has mental health issues, and also perhaps utilizes an upper of some sort. Hopefully this episode is a marker in his life that he can use to get whatever help he needs. As other have mentioned, the relatively high turnover of on-screen staff stood at to me as odd. Some time ago I had an opportunity to pursue a technical position with his organization and after some contemplation decided not to as there were too many red flags that seemed to indicate it wouldn't be a great work environment. I also hope this whole episode doesn't do too much damage to Rumble... it has been implied that they have spent serious money upgrading their infrastructure to handle the LwC traffic... I am curious what will come of his show... He had been my go-to for several years but I started to tire of the show disappearing for extended periods of time 2-3 times a year and Matt Walsh has moved into my "favorite" spot... though I think Steven still has good insight on many topics. Guess we will see how it all shakes out.

I was/am a big Louder with Crowder fan. Subscribed to the Blaze and then to the new Mug Club. Wake up everyday with a cup of coffee to watch. The drama started back in December for most of us who watch when he announced he was not continuing on with Blaze. Understandable because business is business and the details as far I am concerned is irrelevant and really none of my business. THEN while we were waiting for the new program location all of the contract stuff with the Daily Wire came up. I thought about posting but after thinking about it but all what we see is a minute fraction of what the whole story is/was. Could it be a publicity stunt? or does he have some valid points. Ultimately, I really didn't care and just wanted to get back to regular scheduled programming. But it was massive fodder for Crowder's conservative competition, and everyone was dissecting it and debating it, wanting everyone to pick a side. Mark Dice who has no love for Crowder is among those who judged him. Recently, Dave Landau (the comic third chair) who was LOVED by those who watched had some critical words and I really like Dave and there may be some substance to his claims. Dave had contract issues and chose to leave. However, IMO - it should remain between Dave and Steven. Still I miss him on LWC. Then the DIVORCE and the ring cam video everyone is talking about. It WAS not a good look for Steven. I do feel sorry for his wife the way he treated her. BUT even that is none of my business. Divorces generally are always bad times. Maybe he deserves it - maybe he doesn't. All we heard is a onetime conversation. Now the news cycle of this drama is just getting started as I am sure that Steven will start playing his divorce out publicly. I wish he wouldn't but he just can't help himself and is going to fan this fire, stupidity I might add, but this is what I fear. Not trying to justify anything he did but the Internet likes to pile on and judge - and when you are in the public eye > I guess that goes with the territory, fair or not. I just wish I didn't have to hear about it and let the business get handled privately.

I like eating sausages and that's why I never visit a sausage factory to see how they're made. As Q said, he's most likely a control freak. What came to my mind was OCD. That video came from her, right? Here's what I know: in such conflicts, I would expect any one party to lead with their best shot. I'm assuming this video is her best shot. It's not enough for me to pick up any stones to throw at him. We don't know what led up to this argument. We don't even know what the underlying problem is in their marriage. We don't know what made him choose those demands. He wasn't asking her to do any demeaning thing. And, no, I have never used profanity in talking with my wife. But she does know I can get particular about certain things and with those things she lets me have it my way. There's no argument. I suppose she could argue but if she did argue, the real problem isn't about those things. She lets me have those things my way because we love each other. I suppose I let her have things her way in other matters but I don't even know it. I don't think either of us keep count. In the same way, I don't think the problem is walking the dog and giving the dog its medicine; it's something else. So the video isn't showing us what the real problem is. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Back, and to the left |
In the last year, I have tried unsuccessfully to listen to his show. It makes me a bit anxious to try and listen to him and follow his train of thought. All joking aside, it was a little bit like listening to Dustin Hoffman do Rainman. Just off putting. The subject matter was interesting but listening to him drove me to distraction. I would have no problem believing that uppers are involved. He is without doubt a control freak but he seems devolved into a state of mental illness. The way he treated his wife there was...unacceptable.

I tuned into the show today wondering what he would say on the topic but I didn't see him address it. Anyone else catch the clip he played from Boston with the satanist Karl Kasarta from InRange TV tearing up the Bible and flag?
