I had a joint removed in the fourth toe next to the pinky toe. The foot doctor said you don't actually need the pinky toe, iirc I think he said the pinky toe doesn't do much, apparently in modern humans is sort of vestigal.

Correct. I was born with the #2 toe on each foot missing. Balance is fine.

I think this is one toe vs. toes. Shouldn't be a problem.
