Quantum encryption will be totally bulletproof. Maybe a practical reality about as soon as quantum computing.

Ya got me there. Hard to comprehend & harder to put in words. I'm certainly not good at either.

I don't know that there IS a good nontechnical way to explain how quantum computers actually work.

I just worry about the portrayal that I see in the media, which seems to be either "quantum computers can solve any problem instantly!" (unreasonable positive expectations) or "quantum computers mean the banking system is as safe as leaving all your cash in a pile in the middle of the street!" (unreasonable negative expectations).
