Cruz is a solid conservative and you are ignorant to say different. Regardless, quit bickering and focus on getting Trump elected. We don't need of this crap right now.

The American people have wanted a true conservative for decades. Will you be voting for Cruz on Tuesday?

Maybe it's you who needs to do some thinking.

Huh? I voted for Trump. But don't try to pretend that Cruz wasn't the quintessential "Constitutional conservative." Trump is most certainly not that. He's a completely different animal. And probably the animal we needed this year.

Whoa whoa. Spending too much time arguing about whether X politician is a true conservative, helped put Barack in the White House for two terms, and may well help Hillary.

Republicans need to get behind out guy, when we've picked a guy. Not continue the primary fight during the general election.

Arc.

Please....not....again. Roll Eyes

There is absolutely nothing about Cruz that made him a "true conservative dream candidate...." He would have been a disaster. What a ridiculous thing to say.

Yeah, as if Trump is laying awake at night obsessing over how the thug hip-hop demographic feels about him and his policies. . .

And I think the premise is faulty - hip hop never 'turned' on Trump. That would imply that they were either on his side or neutral before 2016. They, and their ilk, have been in the hag's pocket the entire time.

How do we judge who is a "true conservative?"

What characteristics do we look for?

Many wrap themselves in that cloak. Who are the clowns, and who are the cowboys?

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

The problem with comparing Mittens to Trump is that Romney was not a conservative at all. He advocated a permanent amnesty program for illegal aliens. He, along with Jeb and others, criticized Trump's hard line on Muslim refugees. He stated that global warming is a global threat to humanity, that cap & trade was a good idea. And of course his healthcare plan in Massachusetts that he was so proud of. Republicans, including Paul Ryan, thought his plan was no different than Obamacare.

Romney was more of a liberal than a conservative.

My 60 year old Romanian shipmate said Trump should do like they do in Romania during an election. He should have people drive around Florida neighborhoods early in the morning of election day--like 3am--with loud speakers shouting at full volume, "VOTE FOR HILLARY! VOTE FOR HILLARY!!"

Haha, I asked him if they really did that in Romania, and he said yeah, they really did once upon a time.

The mayoral race in one small Romanian town he told me about where the incumbent candidate used town funds to buy a chicken for each resident voter had me cracking up. But hey, it worked.

This is no different (but for scale) than how welfare has been run in this country. The dems have the welfare crowd in their pocket, since they want their free chickens. . .

Dems brag about how many people are on welfare (talking up the angle of how many people they are 'helping') whereas good conservatives would brag on how many people got OFF welfare (meaning they were now individually financially secure and NOT dependent upon govt money).
