Voted today for Trump-gotta work election night so I figured I'd better do it now.

They knew what kind of people they were dealing with.

This is a gross exaggeration. She merely declined to respond to a letter from a couple of Congressmen, as I read the story, hardly the same thing as refusing under oath on grounds of self incrimination.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

There's no indication HRC rejected the information on the grounds of fair play, right vs wrong, is there?

I'll answer that. Hell to the no.

It has been mentioned a few times, but it really bears repeating: Trump's energy is phenomenal. .

Yes, he has a bed on his airplane, and all the incidentals of a day-- getting dressed, his meals, etc.-- are tended to by his staff. But to do this kind of campaigning-- flying from city to city, speaking to crowds, getting back on the plane to fly to another public appearance-- day after day, week after week, month after month, would seriously tire most healthy 35 year olds. Most healthy 70 year olds would have dropped dead sometime last summer.

The man is still going strong.

I have been listening to his speeches. His values and his vision are pitch perfect to counter these corrupt times. Add to that an apparently endless supply of energy-- he is the man we need in the Oval Office.

What an amazing journey from the first-rate ass clown. Smile

Today while driving I sensed a glimpse of what it would feel like to return to liberty and the relief of Neo-Prog oppression that hangs over us like Damocles' sword only without all the benefits. The overwhelming catharsis of the moment brought tears to my eyes. If I could just have these chains removed.....

Yep. And I am of the opinion that witnesses should be denied the protection of the 5th amendment when they are gov't employees answering questions directly relating to their actions taken relating to their job performance/execution while employed by the gov't. They should be compelled to answer to the taxpayers or our representatives. And she should not be permitted to "decline to answer" either.

Hillary this afternoon referred to Huma as "one of my staffers." Uh oh. (Something about "the emails of one of my staffers should be examined"-- something like that.) Huma, meet the undercarriage of the bus.

But it still won't save Hillary. Eventually, corruption spills out into the light of day. Character is known. The grifters pulled it off for a long time, but that time is winding down.

Emerson put it well: "Character is always known... murder will speak out of stone walls."

Only the Clintoons would even attempt this: From "my second daughter" to "one of my staffers" in the blink of an eye.

You have to wonder if that makes Chelsea nervous.

It should.

They're going to have to give that bus a lift job and bigger wheels if they continue to throw people under it.

There are two sides to that.

On the one hand, employees of the Executive branch ought to be expected to provide full, complete information to Congress, in aid of its responsibility to make good, and better, laws, within their lawful powers. Some employees deal with information which ought not, can not, be made public, and there are good and proper justifiable safeguards to try to protect legitimate sensitive information.

On the other hand, Congress has 435 members of widely varying backgrounds, intelligence, beliefs, experience, and has a poor record, some would say appalling, of keeping secrets secret. We can't have every employee telling every Congress member anything he or she wishes to ask about. For one thing, it would leave no time for regular useful work, if you will allow the assumption that there is regular useful work.

Moreover, we are very sensitive to depriving someone, anyone, of well recognized Constitutional rights, even, or maybe especially, convicts or about to be convicts. Military members give up some "rights" but not 5th Amendment rights.
