Wait, what? |
Liberals are strangely silent for the most part; that alone tells me they are stunned by the success of Trump this go around. He was very calm and stuck to the facts and really rattled the red queen. The best part was when Clinton said it was best the someone with Trumps "temperament" was not in charge of of the laws of this country... Don't Google "Debate Polls". Everything that comes up first page says Clinton won by a landslide. Poll respondents must have been watching something different than I was. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

The funniest line of the night, a real knee-slapper, was her criticizing Donald Trump for rating women 1 to 10. This from the "journalist" who spends hours of every broadcast day choosing her outfit, jewelry, having her hair done, and her makeup applied. Her fake eyelashes are glued on one at a time. (Seriously.) There are even worse on-air television news personalities, Shep Smith and Wolf Blitzer, for instance, but Megan Kelly wins the award for Hypocrisy That Makes You Gag. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

Local couple who have been voting for over 70 years shares some solid advice. Longtime voters Bob and Doris Miller share their thoughts on this year's election Marci Gore • Oct 9, 2016 at 4:00 PM mgore@timesnews.net KINGSPORT — City residents Bob and Doris Miller have been voting in presidential elections since the 1940s and say they have never seen an election season quite like this year’s. Bob, who has a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of North Carolina, retired from Eastman Chemical Co. in 1984, after nearly 36 years of service. Bob will turn 98 on Oct. 29. Doris is 95. The Millers, who live in Asbury Place’s Baysmont, have been married for 73 years. Although Bob said he is not particularly thrilled with either candidate running for president this year, he feels he has a duty as an American citizen to cast his vote. “My feeling is, he who sits at home on Election Day need not complain about the government. If you choose not to go out and vote, you had your chance. I feel like, if nothing else, I keep my complaining license in good order by voting. I can, with a clear conscience, complain,” Bob said. Bob can’t recall for certain which presidential election he voted in for the first time, but says he thinks it was in 1940 when Franklin D. Roosevelt was running for a third term. “I wasn’t a particularly strong Democrat then, but I think Roosevelt did a very good job. I grew up through the Great Depression. In 1930, I was 12 years old. The Depression ran for about 10 years. This recent thing (the recession) was just a slight blip on the chart. People who didn’t live through the Great Depression don’t know what they’re talking about when they say times are hard.” Bob said this year he thinks a lot of voters will be voting on not necessarily the best candidate, but rather, on what he describes as the “least worst.” “You may have to hold your nose when you go vote this year, but not voting is not a good idea,” he said. “Decide which one you think will do the least damage. You need to go out and vote and express something. I Worry about our debt and the fact that we don’t have a balanced budget. Economics 101 tells you you can’t keep doing that forever. I think Trump is the least worst of the two. Hillary Clinton’s done some really stupid things. She’s lied frequently. And whoever gets it will appoint Supreme Court justices that will have an impact on generations long after I am gone.” Bob predicts there will be a tremendous turnout for this year’s presidential election and that it will be a close race. “I’m looking at it not so much as who do I want to win, but rather who do I not want to lose,” he said. Doris said, for her, it’s usually been easy to decide who to vote for, but, like her husband, she’s not particularly crazy about either candidate. She laughs when she says Donald Trump doesn’t look or act very presidential. But, she adds, he will still get her vote. Even though Bob is not a fan of President Barack Obama, he said he is proud that his country did elect a black president and that he has no qualms about a qualified woman becoming president one day. “But not Hillary,” he said. “I don’t think she exemplifies what I’d like to see in a woman president.” http://www.timesnews.net/Polit...ection.html#comments _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." Well, it involves no magic - simply, a very good sense of smell. Flies like all other insects detect odours with their antennae which are densely colour in hair-like structures containing olfactory sensory nerve cells. These nerve cells are extremely sensitive to volatile chemicals, odours that is. You have to wonder what the smell was and lucky there was not a swarm of flies. 41 41

I just watched a few clips and it seemed like her only response to The Donald's attacks were "everything he said is a lie". I mean really, that's all you got??? She looked VERY weak.

This was a stunning first for the Clintons. Nobody has ever stood toe-to-toe with Hillary and absolutely let her have it, no holds barred. Not the "media", not Congressional committees, not the FBI, nobody. I have re-watched parts of that wonderful spectacle, and after about 15 minutes you can see the fear and loathing in Hillary's eyes, and it never goes away. When he threatened her with the prison time she so richly deserves, I swear I could hear the "YES!" that went up all across this country. You can be sure she will spend the day back in her cryogenic chamber with IVs inserted and monitors blinking and beeping. It will take her a while to get over this shellacking. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

When I went to that Breitbart site to watch that video and a very impressive "pop-up" ad appeared about Trump. It showed him in front of a mirror adjusting his tie and the words were, It's us against the world...join us. I thought that really summed up exactly where we are right now. A simple ad like that really struck home with me. Damn it, it made me want to roll up my sleeves and get involved. I think I am sending more money his way. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

Forgive me if I missed it in the many pages of discussion discussion, but were they blow drying (cooling) her while Trump was speaking? There were a couple of times that a blow dryer looking device appeared by her head in the split screen.

After the debate I turned the sound off and went to CNN. Three CNN anchors sitting with their hands folded, eyes downcast, looking like they were at a wake. John King looked close to tears. So then I went to Fox and Megan was her cutesy, perky self-- but only in spurts. In between, when Bret Bair was talking, her eyes looked blank, dazed, her face frozen. Any day that you see the Clinton stooges looking like that is a very good day. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

The media is in full spin mode this morning, which is the best indicator you'll get that Trump "won" the debate. Want to know what Trump's best scoring points were? Just look at what the leftist media is attacking this morning. Viewership numbers aren't out yet but it's going to be yuuuge. Hard to spin something that so many people saw for themselves. There won't be any credible, statistically significant polling out until at least late this evening (more likely tomorrow morning), so any numbers you see today are not from sampling that was done after those sampled saw the debate. What you see tomorrow will be more meaningful. Trump has 2 rallies today in Pennsylvania, the first at 3:30 pm. It's unfortunately one of the smaller venues he's scheduled since the convention but the crowd (and overflow) should be enormous today. It will be very enjoyable to watch. Don't put a lot of trust in the poll numbers that are showing Clinton's lead growing in most of the battleground states. It's the same propaganda tactics the media always uses to try to lower the enthusiasm to get out and vote for the Republican. They do it every 4 years. And, just like every other year, they'll close those numbers up starting about October 24th. By November 1st, most of them will start reporting real polling results and not these manufactured results. If you want to know today who's really winning, these "polls" are not the place to be looking.

I just saw that Chris Wallace will be the moderator in the final debate. I actually think he will be fair. And if he is, Trump will have a great stage to put her away for good.

I think so too. He is definitely a liberal, but at least seems to take his job as a journalist somewhat seriously.
