Drudge: DEBATE RULES: NO COUGHING BREAKS **Exclusive** Fri Sep 23 2016 11:30:40 ET If presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton slips into a coughing fit or any other medical crisis during Monday's high-stakes debate, she will have to power through, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned! "There are no commercial breaks," a commission source explains. "Period." Debate moderator Lester Holt does not have the authority to cut away from the stage during the epic 90-minute showdown. And microphone audio for either of the candidates is not to be manipulated. Clinton has experienced severe coughing episodes throughout the election year. During a Labor Day campaign stop she suffered a 4-minute choking marathon. Monday's throwdown could top out at 100 million viewers, making it the biggest political event in history. EDITOR'S NOTE: The presidential debate commission settled an early flashpoint when Clinton demanded a step-stool at the podium to add height to her 5'4" frame. Campaign Chairman John Podesta expressed concern that Hillary would be dwarfed by 6'2" Trump. The request was quickly rejected. The commission is allowing for a custom-made podium, which will accommodate the difference in stature. http://drudgereport.com/flashny.htm

It wasn't just a TV pledge. It was a signed pledge produced by the RNC. But that's OK. Trump was mean to him so it gives him an out. What kind of outs would he have needed with Hillary during the general? What about Putin had he been elected? There are a lot of people out there who won't play nice. You can also endorse somebody without being in complete agreement with them. For example "Trump is a complete ass-clown, but I support him to be President. Even an ass-clown would be better than a Clinton".

Politics is no place for the thin skinned. Primaries are brutal and afterwards most will put it behind them. Cruz should've done just that.

Well Roy, a few facts are in order here. Let's start with the pledge Cruz took. Please note, Cruz, himself, made his pledge a matter of honor as he asked us to "TrusTed." It wasn't just at some ambush or debate. He doubled down even after much reflection. Cruz said to Chuck Todd (March 13, 2016): "Well, listen, I pledged at the outset I will support the Republican nominee, whoever it is ... when I give my word for something, I follow through and do what I said" Cruz, himself did not say his word "meant nothing" as you allege. Cruz told us that his word was rock solid reliable. Cruz said a similar thing the night before at a high School in Cleveland and at many other times. You and Ted are not looking so good right now. You said in your post: "So this place is supposed to be a place where honorable men and women with similar interests hang out and share ideas and information in a gentlemanly and honorable way." So, it appears that you just haven't been paying attention or you are not honorable. Is there another alternative? I'll presume that you have not been paying attention to the details. The RNC pledge was as follows: ""I (name) affirm that if I do not win the 2016 Republican nomination for president of the United States I will endorse the 2016 Republican presidential nominee regardless of who it is. I further pledge that I will not seek to run as an independent or write-in candidate nor will I seek or accept the nomination for president of any other party." By signing the pledge, candidates were able to use the resources of the RNC." In May 2016, spokespersons for Trump’s campaign and the RNC told PolitiFact Florida that all of the GOP candidates signed the pledge. Even recently, Chairman Priebus stated that the private organization (RNC) must consider what sanctions or other actions should be taken against candidates who took RNC resources for their campaigns in exchange for signing the pledge but then reneged. As to the alleged public insult of Cruz' father and wife, it was all theater offered by Cruz when he was desperately trying to not eat his words that if the race narrowed, he would trounce Trump. The father question arose after a reporter asked Cruz if he was ever unfaithful to his wife. Cruz went on tilt and did not want that line of inquiry. In response, Cruz attacked Trump viciously. Trump responded by simply asking why the story about Ted Cruz's father that was long public was not being answered. Wow. What a contrived insult. Then, as to Heidi, Trump retweeted a true but unfaltering picture that was already public after Cruz forces published a public picture of Trump's wife in a effort to slut shame her. Wow. What an insult. Anyone that thin skinned is not fit for public life. Both of the instances Cruz tried to push as some great public insult were already public. The fact that Cruz responded with an almost word for word repetition of lines from a movie, the American President, was a real turn off. It just wasn't genuine. Heidi Cruz is a public figure in her own right. I am surprised that people still believe in Cruz' alleged offenses as his reason for showing that we cannot "TrusTed." His word meant nothing. _______________________________ NRA Life Member NRA Certified Range Safety Officer

I must be truly deplorable because I'm excited about voting for Trump. Not since Ronald Reagan have I felt good about the candidate selection I've had. I've voted for all of the republican candidates since then and I hope Trump is the guy. Great men rise to the occasion and he seems to be living up to the challenge. This message has been edited. After Once Opposing Him, Tea Party Patriots Finally Endorses Donald Trump Co-founder and CEO of Tea Party Patriots Jenny Beth Martin, right, speaks as U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann listens during a news conference May 16, 2013 on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. (Photo by Alex Wong/Getty Images) During the Republican presidential primary, the Tea Party Patriots said Ted Cruz was their guy and Donald Trump was not one of them. Times have changed. The super PAC aligned with the tea party organization announced Thursday they are officially endorsing Trump for president and will work to get their supporters out to the polls for the Republican nominee. But in their statement, the group still sounds like their support for him is more based off of a distaste for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton than a love for Trump. “Hillary Clinton stands opposed to everything the tea party stands for, on the policy, political, and personal fronts. Donald Trump, on the other hand, has pledged to fight to uphold our core values,” said Jenny Beth Martin, the chairman of the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund. “In making a choice between the two of them, there is really no choice at all – we choose Trump.” The endorsement is another sign that conservatives who have been reluctant to support Trump are, eventually, coming around to his side. Speaking in March, Martin of the Tea Party Patriots said of Trump: “He loves himself more than our country. He loves himself more than the Constitution. He does not love you or me. He does not love the Tea Party. Donald Trump has no business thinking he is Tea Party.” The group endorsed Cruz — Trump’s chief conservative rival — for president during the contentions primary. Cruz has not endorsed Trump. On Thursday, the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund said they would focus their efforts to get out the vote for Trump in the swing states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina and Florida. The organization says it has 57,000 supporters in Pennsylvania, 48,000 supporters in Ohio, 37,000 supporters in North Carolina and 97,000 supporters in Florida. http://dailycaller.com/2016/09...residential-debates/ 41 41

We're all hoping that Hillary's eyes start pin balling and she takes a swan dive into Lester's lap, but my guess is that with the way they have been babying her-- only a few appearances in two weeks, none beyond 22 minutes-- and with her traveling personal ICU tending to her 24/7, she will hold up well through the debate. My guess is that Lester Holt, having seen the public shaming of Matt Laurer, will ask a few apparently tough questions-- but he will not follow up when she lies through her teeth. And Holt will grill Trump relentlessly. KellyAnne is one smart cookie. As is the Donald himself. They will be ready, and Trump will do well. Just Hillary's voice alone for two hours nonstop will have aquarium fish all over America knocking their little brains out against the glass. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

With Para's indulgence, you have called me dishonest and you are wrong. I am not intending to discuss this but I do not believe I should let myself be publicly called "dishonest" without a response. Mistaken, misunderstanding or any number of words are not the same as calling someone dishonest. _______________________________ NRA Life Member NRA Certified Range Safety Officer
