Around here I think I've seen more Trump signs than Hillary signs. But even then I can count on one hand how many houses I've seen with signs. Its a big change from last time when there were Obama signs everywhere.

Not to throw cold water on the idea, but prior to the first, and second, obama elections we traveled quite a bit through black areas of SW Virginia. We commented on how few obama signs we saw and thought that was good.

Unfortunately, when the votes were counted those areas were massively for obama.

As much as I hate NY poliitics, I do like the country out there. Used to go by Lewey Lake all the time as that 8-30-28 loop by Chain of Lakes was a favorite drive (and really fun on a motorcycle) of mine. An old girlfriend's family had a cabin on Otter Lake (just over the hill from Lewey) and we spent many weekends up there. Ahhh...good times....

No real surprise here. The Dallas Morning News is a worthless, liberal fish-wrapper. Read their copy and laugh at the reasoning behind this "endorsement." Sadly, there are many who get their opinion solely from sources such as this. It fortunately won't matter in this case, as Trump will carry Texas easily. In other places, however, it is definitely a concern.

Caterpillar is firing 300 American employees in Mossville, Illinois, even though it is continuing to recruit and pay foreign “H-1B” guest-workers to do the white-collar jobs sought by American professionals in the United States.

The Caterpillar outsourcing “is all the same thing happening over and over again,’ said John Miano, a lawyer and software expert who has sued the federal government to reduce or stop various outsourcing programs, such as the H-1B visa. “What we see is that companies ask for more [H-1B visas] while they’re laying off the same kind of [American professionals] … this is going to be an election that decides whether this continues,” Miano said.

While Trump has promised to reform the controversial H-1B program as part of his plan to ensure that immigration law helps Americans before companies or foreign workers, Hillary Clinton has been a strong supporter of the H-1B program, and her foundation has tried to hire more than 130 foreign professionals in place of young Americans.

Many companies outsource U.S. white collar jobs to foreign professionals — Disney, DeLoitte, many hospitals, Facebook, Intel, Qualcomm, Microsoft, plus many smaller companies, such as the Toys R Us retailer, Cengage publishing firm, and New York Life insurance company. The scale and details of the outsourcing movement can be tracked at websites, including MyVisaJobs.com.

Much of the 2016 H-1B outsourcing at Caterpillar is for engineering jobs held by Americans.

Trump also connected all of this with “immigration security,” referring back to his immigration policy speech in Phoenix last week.

Not exactly. They will both be at the event but not at the same time. One will come out, participate, leave, and then the other will come out and participate. They won't ever be "face to face."

MSNBC isn't wasting the opportunity, either. There are SIX attack articles on their website on the page that announces the event. Zero (of course) attack ads for Hitlery. You know that NBC and Hitlery have rehearsed this event for weeks....it will be entirely scripted to help her and to make Trump look bad. I'm ok with him participating, though, because it's the same scenario he'll face at the first debate. He has to overcome the rigged forum and use it to his advantage.

Bill Clinton today:

“That message, I’ll give you America great again — If you’re a white southerner, you know exactly what it means,” Clinton said.

The former president indicated that Trump’s campaign slogan signaled that he would make white people more culturally dominate over other races in the country.

“What it means is I’ll give you the economy you had 50 years ago and I’ll move you back up the social totem pole and other people down,” Clinton said.

Republicans On Capitol Hill Gain Confidence In Trump:

WASHINGTON — South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said he is pleased Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is holding up against Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“Trump is getting better,” Graham told reporters Tuesday pointing to the recent polling. “You can see a more disciplined message. If he can hold it together for another 8 weeks.”

Graham, who ran against Trump in the primary and doubted that the New York billionaire could beat Clinton, appeared impressed that Trump could withstand the amount of political attacks he had taken so far.

“He’s had massive political body blows that would knock anybody else out. If he can cross the lines in the eyes of the public and be ready for the job, then I think you’re gonna have one hell of a race,” Graham added.

Graham and other Republicans in Washington have something to be optimistic about. A number of recent polls show the race between Trump and Clinton narrowing, a development happening as a result of some unsure Republicans who finally decided to support Trump. A new CNN/ORC poll, for example, shows Trump with 83 percent support of Republican registered voters. This is up five points since late July. TheCNN/ORC poll shows Trump leading Clinton by 2 points among likely voters. Clinton previously led Trump by three points in the same poll.

Texas Republican Rep. Pete Sessions, a member who did not endorse Trump until May when three other Texas House Republicans threw their support behind Trump, told The Daily Caller Tuesday that he believes a combination of Clinton’s troubles and people trusting Trump more than Clinton is key for a GOP victory.

“I think the members of Congress recognize that the numbers back home suggest to them that this voter that will come out and support Donald Trump is someone we have not dealt with very much in the 32nd Congressional District and out of the 80,000 votes, 26,132 never had voted in a primary,” Sessions said. “And when you have such large numbers of people who then see candidates and ideas that are in front of them, anything can happen.”

Alabama Republican Sen. Richard Shelby, who waited to support Trump long after his fellow Alabama Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions made his endorsement, told TheDC simply that Clinton’s trust problems are only helping Trump.


“I’m a Republican and supporting Trump, so I think she has a lot of problems and it shows in the polls. You got a problem with trust and everything else,” Shelby said.

Democrats, however, refuse to believe Republicans are coming to unify around their Republican nominee.

“The conventions were a real contrast. At the Republican Convention — and I told this to a number of people in the media — there was little controversy because those who disagreed did not come. They stayed home. President Bush stayed home. The senior President Bush stayed home,” House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer told reporters Tuesday. “Presidential candidate McCain stayed home. Frankly, Bob Dole was the only one who came. He’s 93, and he was being honored, and it was appropriate for him to come to his party.”
