regarding Bill Kristol's possible "candidates"

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) will absolutely not be an independent candidate for president in November, his team confirmed

A high-placed source close to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has also confirmed that it will not be him running

Another high-placed source, this one close to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), has confirmed that Cruz will also not be launching an independent bid

Sources close to Mitt Romney, have not yet confirmed one way or the other whether they are going to run

Sources close to former U.S. Sen. Jim Talent from Missouri or former U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn from Oklahoma have not yet confirmed either way

I think this renegade action by Kristol will ruin him

Actually, it isn't Kristol who needs to be bombarded with emails, FB messages and Tweets, it should be whoever emerges as the independent candidate. If there ever is one. Kristol probably loves all the attention he is getting. Who has ever cared about anything he said?

But the independent candidate needs to know that he or she would be committing political suicide if they run as an independent.

A tsunami of tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of messages pouring in telling you that you are finished politically-- that will give anyone second thoughts.

Well, the signs seem to be pointing towards Mitt Romney. I'm not sure he cares about committing political suicide. I'd bet he genuinely thinks he'd be a better president than Trump or Clinton and that either would be disaster for America.

It won't be Mittens. When he sees that ignominy is descending upon him, he will back out. I'm sure that he too has lots of cool things to do, and being forever remembered as a traitor is not one of them.

Frankly I think that Kristol is just playing to all the attention. He is a bitter, insignificant little two-bit political player.

Pipe dream, so to speak:

1.7 Self-Defense

The only legitimate use of force is in defense of individual rights — life, liberty, and justly acquired property — against aggression. This right inheres in the individual, who may agree to be aided by any other individual or group. We affirm the individual right recognized by the Second Amendment to keep and bear arms, and oppose the prosecution of individuals for exercising their rights of self-defense. Private property owners should be free to establish their own conditions regarding the presence of personal defense weapons on their own property. We oppose all laws at any level of government restricting, registering, or monitoring the ownership, manufacture, or transfer of firearms or ammunition.

Romney had at least three or four chances to get into the race, so it makes zero sense for him to jump in now. The GOP is starting to get behind Trump and Hillary looks like she is in trouble.

Clinton is in trouble how? If you mean indictment, I wouldn't hold my breath. If you mean polls, I think that's a temporary situation as she's still dealing with Bernie and Trump isn't dealing with anyone else for his party's nomination. I think the polls will return to her being 6-10 points ahead of Trump after we get through the conventions.

Google "Hillary Should Drop Out" and see the long list of news stories. I think the New York Daily News is liberal leaning.

Hillary isn't going to drop out. That's the absolute last thing she'd do. They'd have to have her in a lockup and convicted and serving a sentence for her to drop out.

I remember when Bill got caught in the Monica thing. I was so sure he'd resign and bet one of my friends he would. I didn't yet understand exactly who we were dealing with, there. The Clintons are shameless and Hillary has been working towards this her entire life. She's not going anywhere.

I can't see Hillary dropping out even if indicted. The DNC would have to replace her.

Besides, her first truthful statement in 2016 could be, "History shows that Democrats on ballots who are in jail or dead still win elections."

Forgetting her legal troubles there is a lot of internal turmoil in her party right now and the Sanders people are pissed. I can't say I blame them with how stacked that race has been. That could obviously change, but with the GOP starting to come together you'd have to think anyone like Romney jumping in now would be to help her.

Advertised on Amazon, but perhaps in limited quantities. There are also complaints about the price, but I’m confused about that: If we want it all to end, what’s a few bucks?

Glenn Beck has been suspended by Sirius radio for his anti-Trump antics.

http://www.breitbart.com/radio...-interview-comments/

SiriusXM hosts Stephen K. Bannon and David Webb announced on Breitbart News Daily that SiriusXM has suspended Glenn Beck and Webb will temporarily take over Beck’s 9AM to noon Eastern time slot on SiriusXM’s Patriot Channel 125.

SiriusXM issued the following statement:

SiriusXM encourages a diversity of discourse and opinion on our talk programs. However, comments recently made by a guest on the independently produced Glenn Beck Program, in our judgement, may be reasonably construed by some to have been advocating harm against an individual currently running for office, which we cannot and will not condone. For that reason, we have suspended The Glenn Beck Program from our Patriot channel for the coming week and are evaluating its place in our lineup going forward. SiriusXM is committed to a spirited, robust, yet responsible political conversation and believes this action reflects those values.

The suspension is in response to the interview Beck did with fiction author Brad Thor last Wednesday, in which Thor likened the GOP’s presumptive nominee Donald Trump to a South American-style dictator who would cause an “extinction-level event” for the country if elected. Thor then declared that in such a case, Congress would not be able to remove Trump from office by “legal means” through impeachment, so Thor asked “what patriot will step up and do that” if Trump oversteps his Constitutional restraints. Beck agreed with Thor’s assessment.

Here is the exchange:

THOR: He is a danger to America and I got to ask you a question and this is serious and this could ring down incredible heat on me because I’m about to suggest something very bad. It is a hypothetical I am going to ask as a thriller writer.

With the feckless, spineless Congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as President? If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if, if, he oversteps his mandate as president, his constitutional-granted authority, I should say, as president.

If he oversteps that, how do we get him out of office? And I don’t think there is a legal means available. I think it will be a terrible, terrible position the American people will be in to get Trump out of office because you won’t be able to do it through Congress.

BECK: I would agree with you on that and I don’t think you actually have the voices we’ve been talking about and we’ve been talking about this off-air for a while. I think the voices like ours go away. I don’t think we are allowed – especially if things, and I believe the economy is going to go to crap, even if Jesus was in office. It’s going to naturally reset. It has to.

After receiving criticism for these comments from people who believed Thor and Beck were suggesting or at least implying assassination, Beck offered a lengthy defense of his statements.

Same thing happened to his employee, Dana Loesch, here in the St. Louis market. The station was very politically correct about it and offered some BS excuse regarding her departure. Everybody who listened knew exactly why. It was non-stop "Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump".

It seems as if she's back in the St. Louis market on an AM station. I saw a billboard advertising it, and turned her on. Same thing, but slightly different.

"Trump, sssssshhhhhhhhhhhsssszzzzz, Trumpsssssshhhhhhhssssss, Trump!" AM has a lot of static. Big Grin
