You're saying that you don't think he'll take Chicago, where dead men vote twice?

Go Jeff!

As far as I can tell, Burnie does not have all his marbles. Neither one of the democraPs will be in the least good for this country.

IMO, the last chance we have to save the country is for Trump to get elected and then he does at least 50% of what he promised. And building the wall is a good idea, and needs to receive priority. At least slow down the invasion of illegals and the flood of drugs.

But, why is Beck so heavily against Donald Trump? I was listening to Brad Thor on Beck's show this morning and Thor was making Trump out to be the man who will take liberty away from America.
The two of them came very close to the Hitler/Mussolini comparison. As concerned as I am for our country, I believe DT gives us a better chance to survive with the Constitution in tact than HRT HRC (sorry) .

I hope I made sense there. Smile

Now I'm confused. I thought a vote for Trump was a vote for Hillary.

I'm ready for Trump to pick a VP and get moving. He has a great group to pick from and I hope he won't disappoint. Only 6 months to go before he is elected.

VP choices usually aren't announced, at least not formally, until the convention. We likely have another 2+ months to wait before we know who it is.

Have you noticed how Fox News has started using more dignified pics of Trump on their website? For the longest time, they used pics showing Trump with some silly expression on his face, or gesturing in some odd way. It was deliberate and calculated.

But now...

Uh huh. Hurts, doesn't it, Fox? Hurts down deep, doesn't it?

The meeting between the RNC, House Speaker Paul Ryan and presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump has ended and Chairman Reince Priebus is saying things went well.

Priebus: The meeting was great. It was a very positive step toward party unity.

Trump will now meet with members of House and Senate Leadership as he continues his swing through Capitol Hill Thursday.

Time to unite. And go defeat H Clinton.

Personally, I think the best man for the VP job is Newt!

And we here at this house hope he is the pick.

Frankly, we would like to see Trump name him as VP and get on with the campaign, and in the process destroying HRC.

I hope he doesn't make us wait that long. I'm really looking forward to supporting the ticket. I'm still hoping for Gingrich. Having Newt on the ticket would alleviate my conservative worries.

There are a bunch of folks I'd like to see in the #2 post, but personally I am expecting (and to be honest, hoping) for a VP pick that attracts centrists.

The logic being that if he mends fences with the establishment R's as it looks like he is (and would be in both his and the R's interest) he's got the R's, and then the next step is to grab votes from HRC. Those votes are in the middle, not on the conservative side.

I'm not saying it's what I'd like as a conservative, but I am saying it's what would give Trump net new voters and taking votes away from someone counts twice: - 1 for them and +1 for you.

The reason I say I'm hoping for a centrist is that I'm in favor of everything that increases the likelihood of keeping HRC out of the Oval Office. Trump's VP will not be selecting the next couple of Supremes.

Yes, first they (and everyone else) tried to sabotage him. Now that they and everyone realizes that he's too strong to sabotage, they're now all joining him. Typical political BS.

Boone Pickens: I support Trump and his plan to ban unvetted Muslim immigrants

Billionaire energy tycoon T. Boone Pickens reiterated his support behind Donald Trump for president on Wednesday.

Speaking at the SALT Conference in Las Vegas, Pickens stated: “Yes, I’m for Donald Trump.”

Pickens, 87, said that the immigration policy needs to change. He also agrees with Trump’s idea to propose a ban on Muslim immigration into the US.

“I like his immigration policy," Pickens said. "I didn’t say it’s permanent. But I’d cut off the Muslims coming into the United States until we can vet these people."

“We’ve got to know," he continued. "We all look too much alike. I mean we’re coming into the United States— the three of us— they can’t tell by looking at us. They can tell I’m the oldest or something."

Pickens said that the last eight years have been “pretty tough to deal with” due to what he argued was a lack of leadership in Washington. He said that Trump may be the only one who can change anything.

“He may change something," Pickens said. "I do think Donald Trump is smart enough. He’s going to get help. He’s already said that he’s got to have a vice president that has political experience. I’m tired of having politicians as president of the United States.”

During the panel, moderator David Westin, the cohost of “Bloomberg ”, pressed Pickens and his fellow panelist Sam Zell, the chairman of Equity Group Investments, on the numbers, specifically pointing to how the unemployment rate has fallen.

“That’s bulls——,” Zell responded to applause from the audience of nearly 1,200 hedge fund professionals. Zell said that he thinks there’s more underemployment and more temporary jobs.

“I think we have more underemployment in the United States because we’ve dis-incentivized our society, we made it much more difficult to achieve, and we have a president who’s informed me that ‘I didn’t build that.’ And that’s preposterous” Zell said, igniting more applause from the crowd.

“I agree with that one-hundred percent,” Pickens replied, adding, “I’m ready to go for change.”

He said that he’s “ready to take a chance” on Trump.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) praised an hour-long meeting with Donald Trump Thursday as "constructive."

McConnell and other members of his leadership team met with the GOP's presumptive presidential nominee for about an hour at the National Republican Senatorial Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C.

McConnell offered few details, but said steps were taken toward unifying the GOP.

"We had a very good, constructive meeting," he told reporters.

"We'll let official statements speak, but it was a good time," said Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), an adviser to the Trump campaign and an early backer, who attended the meeting.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) echoed McConnell's comments on Twitter, calling it a "constructive" meeting.
