Today, House Speaker Paul Ryan refused to support Trump, stating that he needs to "do more to unify the GOP", and develop an "appealing agenda" What a little punk. And to think I used to respect this guy. link "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

A third party run got her husband in, so I'm guessing this is 1992 again? Sasse came out and was pushing a third party, but he didn't even have the guts to endorse Cruz.

Early on, I thought it would be the Donald that would go back on his word & not support the nominee, not the majority of the Republican Party, that clamored for an oath of allegiance. Sickening, scumbag lying bastards. All bullshit.

Could it be that they are just subjecting Trump to "The Art Of The Deal?" Demands. Apoplexy. Reaction. Negotiation? Trump is going to have to play chicken with the GOPe, hyper-conservatives and social conservatives to cobble together as many as he can. This is just one more step in the process. I suspect some won't make it. The social conservatives were grasping at the ring this year but Cruz got put on tilt on election day and saw, probably, the loss of funding and support. People voting against him was certainly no help. And, people showing up in unprecedented droves to support Trump was certainly no help to Cruz' flailing grasp at the ring. It seems this year that social conservatives were not the heart of the Republican Party. They are a strong force but the message of being the fulfillment of prophesy or God's will did not carry the day. It is unfortunate that Cruz did not extend his message and attraction to include the disaffected masses who want change. Cruz did not open his strainer for them. Now, others in the hyper-conservative movement are showing themselves to believe that they are not the heart of the party this year either. Instead, they see themselves as merely persons joined to the Republican Party for potential collective power. If hyper-conservatives, social conservatives or the GOPe think the Hillary or the left is better than what Trump has a vision to accomplish, then it does not appear that a rational philosophy is driving their actions. Starting another party does not make sense where the voters, in record numbers, are confirming what they would like to try at this time. The only explanations seem to be petulance, maintaining donor-system political control or negotiating a place at the emerging table. I rather think it is the latter for the most part. But, some will be self-culled. _______________________________ NRA Life Member NRA Certified Range Safety Officer

it is as if Ryan and gang have never been in a real fight. The kind where you go all out and everybody covers for the team. Trump is on his way to almost certainly get more primary votes than any other Rep candidate ever. And they are treating him like he is a beggar. Ryan: “Well to be perfectly candid with you, I’m not ready to do that yet,” “I am not there right now.” “I do not want to underplay what he accomplished,” Ryan said, referring to Trump. “He needs to be congratulated for winning the delegates, but he inherited something special.” He repeatedly called for Trump to work further to unite the party, before he would be willing to fully back him. He cited the need for Trump to recognize the political success of Republicans, especially in the House of Representatives. “I think he’s got some work to do,” Ryan said. ************* what a joke. "the political success of Republicans, especially in the House of Representatives." especially after last December when Ryan gave Obama everything Obama wanted, but Ryan had the juice to completely gut obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood, and defund Obama's amnesty push. Gutless Ryan gave Obama everything and all he got back was laughter from the Democrats who couldn't believe how he folded.

So Ryan, you think you might support Hillary then? Don't count on running that bluff on the Donald. You're setting yourself up to eat a big ol' serving of shit. Enjoy! _____________________ Be careful what you tolerate. You are teaching people how to treat you.

You guys know I'm not a Trump fan, but these idiots like Ryan just do not get it. They think that if they distance themselves from Trump, then all the down-ticket races can be saved even if Hillary wins the White House. They need to realize that they are not going to win those races without the significant portion of the party that voted for Trump. The #NeverTrump constituency is not significant enough to carry an election for these guys. No democrat will cross over to vote for them because they distance themselves from Trump, so they will need every GOP vote they can get. Right now, the largest block of GOP voters supports Trump. Seems silly to cross them if your goal is to win an election. If I were Ryan or any Republican CongressCritter, I would say "I fully support the Party's nominee because I cannot imagine, after 8 years of Obama, the damage to the country that a Hillary Clinton administration would do. At the same time, I recognize that our nominee is controversial, but I'll use my position to continue to advocate for the things I believe in, and wherever President Trump and I disagree, I will work to seek compromises that benefit the American people." Boom. Done. Are these guys so stupid (yes) that they can't figure out a diplomatic way to not piss off either side?

At least a few have common sense http://www.breitbart.com/texas...trump-for-president/ Former Texas Governor, and Republican presidential candidate, Rick Perry has endorsed GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump. The longest serving governor in the Lone Star State said he believed in the process, and he believes in the voters, and the voters have voted for Trump. Perry said he believes that Trump loves this country and would surround himself with experienced and capable people to help him lead the nation, reported CNN’s Dana Bash. Perry did not think it was unrealistic or impractical to be open to helping Trump in any way he could, including serving as vice president. He said he would not say no. **************** adding: Chicago, you are absolutely correct. well said

I've been on the Trump train since the first debate, and I have to say, seeing stuff like this only further strengthens my conviction that it's either Trump, or we're screwed. The other side is not about freedom, not about the values this country was founded on, and has thrived because of. They want to call him Hitler while they behave like Hitler's own brownshirts. ______________________________________________ “There are plenty of good reasons for fighting, but no good reason ever to hate without reservation, to imagine that God Almighty Himself hates with you, too.”

Trump responds to Ryan "I am not ready to support Speaker Ryan's agenda. Perhaps in the future we can work together and come to an agreement about what is best for the American people. They have been treated so badly for so long that it is about time for politicians to put them first" http://hotair.com/archives/201...rump-says-paul-ryan/ Trump giving Ryan a lesson in "class"

That's a great response to Ryan. The old guard politicians are really outing themselves in a bad way here.
