I'm glad Trump is in it.
He forces everyone to discuss topics that all the other candidates would rather not even acknowledge.

But he won't win.
He's alienated or pissed off a large portion of Hispanics, women & Muslims and while I don't like the PC , kisses everyone's ass we've seen so often when it comes to being a political leader he doesn't seem to have the qualities needed.
At this rate all that will be left to vote for him will be pissed off White guys. LoL !
Seriously, we've had some odd people in the whitehouse but I don't think he'd do well as the leader of the free world.
I do want him in it till the end pushing the others to address the issues.

Sadly, none of the others really impress me.
All these people and no reall stand out.

If you cannot find anyone impressive in this field I don't think you ever will. You are never going to agree with or like a candidate 100%. This is a huge field and you still are not happy?

As far as Trump, I don't think the is worried about the Hispanic vote, women vote or Muslim vote. I don't see anything specific that would turn off women voters. My liberal leaning mother-in-law likes Trump! Enough people are pissed off that I think he could bring out first time voters or steal votes from the Demonrats on a level that no other Republican candidate would be capable of doing.

I have a few liberal friends and none of them like Hillary, a few have even said if it were between Hitllary and Trump they would go with Trump.

There is a reason the media is going after Trump so hard, they are damn scared of him and his ability to win it all.

Reagan was a Democrat in the '60s he had changed his ways long before running for president and proved his conservatism while Governor of California. Trump is still spouting very liberal ideas, like his love of immenent domain, his support of government regulated ethanol, calling Cruz a maniac for not being nice enough and Standing up for his principles. Sorry, but Trump is no conservative. It MIGHT be possible he has changed his mind on gun control, abortion, and a single payer healthcare system, but I highly doubt it, he just knows what we want to hear right now on those issues.

Something else I have noticed, my wife and I have 7 kids from 30 down to 19. Only two names are being hailed from their friends Bernie and Trump. At least around here.

I don't think anybody is claiming he's 100% conservative. But he's also not 100% socialist, which is what the Democrats have to offer.

So let's follow your logic. Let's say he supports eminent domain, and ethanol. So? If nothing else, life goes on tomorrow just like today. Right? Neither of these is really the ruin of our nation is it?

But now you say he supports the second amendment, is against abortion, against Obamacare, against illegal immigration, against terrorist entering our country, against currency/trade manipulation, against outsourcing labor, and favors revamping our tax code.

By chance, would any of the things on that list improve the decline of our nation? Have an impact on our daily lives?

You are right. Cruz is the most conservative. I love Cruz. But Cruz will not get the independent and Democrat votes that Trump will. This isn't my opinion, this is what just about every poll shows. It's what I hear and see with my own two eyes.

Look at the other posters in this very thread who have observed the same thing. Liberals supporting Trump. College kids supporting Trump. Sometimes you have to compromise on the road to getting to where you want to go. Trump is not the least of two evils. He is the best opportunity to get part of the way to where we want to be. He's a start.

I will support Ted Cruz, because he is the real deal.
Having said that, I will agree that Trump may have some appeal to people who may otherwise vote democrat.
However, that won't get me on board the Trump train. I will support Ted Cruz until he's out of the race. If and only if Ted Cruz cannot win the nomination will I support a lesser candidate. Trump may be the winning candidate, but he's a real crap shoot.

The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

If the support for Trump is genuine, he will carry the day at the RNC. Remember what I've long said about political polls. They are next to worthless.

I would like to see Trump and Cruz mend they ways and run as President and VP respectively.

The VP position can be important because you have to get out and see where the problems are first hand and not set behind the desk and make decisions. It can have a great supporting role to the President.

Cruzin' with Trump Smile And the VP can't be fired! Big Grin

CNN debate tonight, they'd be smart to turn their focus on Hillary and not each other.

have you seen what a freaking joke the Dem "debates" are? The next one is on a SATURDAY NIGHT on December 19th while NFL football is on. They are doing their best to hide Hillary and shield her but I CANNOT WAIT to see Trump tear her a new butthole in a one-on-one debate.

Trump needs to stop this childinh "Just wait until he hits me and then, oH boy, am I gonna hit him!!".

If I could tell Trump one thing, it would be that the only time he sounds scared to me is when he says stuff like that.

The remarks actually means "I don't want you to hit me, so I'm gonna tell you ahead of time what's gonna happen if you do.", and this is rooted in fear, so cut it the fuck out, Don.

They should have focused on Hillary a long time ago. She's been getting a free ride for a long time now. That's not a good thing.
That's the down side to 24/7 Trump.

No, I don't really think he has changed his mind, I think he is still for Gun control, abortion, and Obamacare, but he knows those are three topics that would sink him immediately if he didn't claim to be against all that now. And what is his tax code proposal other than taxing the snot out of the rich? Trump just knows what people want to hear right now, he is a complete phony. Oh, and ethanol not a big deal? Do you have any clue the damage ethanol mandate has done? Not only on a national economy level, but right in people's own pockets.

You may be absolutely right and I'm certainly not convinced otherwise. However if his ultimate goal is a bizarre combination of ego-trip and lust for power and he's figured out the winning formula to become POTUS, how much do we need to be concerned that he's going to do what would have to amount to a 180 degree about-face and turn into a Hillary clone?

If he's willing to sell out his own apparent beliefs to the extent that some believe he has just to get elected, does he even care what his own personal beliefs are, or is he more motivated by holding the office?

The absolute worse thing Trump could do would be to antagonize Cruz into any kind of a debate whatsoever.
Remember the scene in Open Range where Costner walked right up to the smart ass gun man and shot him dead right in the forehead?
That would be the equivelant of what Cruz would do to Trump in a debate.

Some may disagree with me on this one, but I thought Trump refusing to attack Cruz tonight, and basically laughing off the moderator's question, was brilliant. It diffused the entire issue, and took all the wind out of CNN's attempt to start a pissing contest. Cruz followed Trump's lead and that avenue closed quickly and permanently tonight. I applaud both of them for not taking the bait.

Jeb has got to qualify somewhere near the top of my 'Worst public speakers in the world' list. Even when I agree with what he's saying, its hard to accept given his horrible speaking skills.

Have you listened to Hillary on the campaign stump lately? Her halted speech sounds like a 4th grader reading aloud in class. Her robotic hand gestures are equally annoying.
