I have been skeptical of the conservative principles of President Elect Trump but he has chosen a staff and cabinet that promise competant and effective governance. Now I worry that he will suffer health problems that originate from a zeal to succeed. Hail to the Chief and God Bless the USA.

I saw him on TV live earlier in the year sing it, he looked a little tired and frail.
But NOT TODAY! He was walking a little taller and singing a little stronger. I expect he realizes the bullet we dodged... Chills ran over me and my eyes watered up.
God bless the USA indeed!

Well it's almost 9 AM here in Ireland and some fool is on the radio bemoaning the fact that many of Trump's cabinet have no experience in government.

I would have thought that this was a good thing!

Looking forward to watching the inauguration. Well done America!

Today is garbage pick up day at our house. I just took the trash out to the street corner to be picked up. Walking back to the house I realized the irony and how satisfying that simple task was on a special day like today! Big Grin

My first thought when I woke up this morning was "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad".

Good morning and Thanks!

As far as BHO's staff, would that the press and bloggers had been as critical of those picks.

Thanks to Para and all for this truly epic thread.

Following is my thought journey on now President-Elect Donald Trump:

When Para started this thread, at first I thought that it was SIGforum humor or that, uh, Para was having health problems. After all, it was well advertised that Trump was just running for President to gain publicity with no serious intent.

When Trump began taking out his Republican opponents with unorthodox tactics, I became concerned. After all, it was well advertised that President Trump would be the last President of the USA.

And then I came across this post in Scott Adams' blog: http://blog.dilbert.com/post/1...a-rabid-anti-trumper All that it took was an open mind and 5 minutes of my time, and then I internally remarked "Oh, he's right."

I was still somewhat indifferent about the political process until the Clinton / MSM campaign contorted Trump's words and tried turning me/us into 2nd Amendment Presidential assassins. And that is when I chose sides and declared support for Trump on this thread. As pledged, I did everything legally possible to support President-Elect Trump.

I now eagerly look forward to seeing President Trump in service.

video at:

http://www.breitbart.com/big-h...nauguration-concert/

The 74-year-old singer joined the Frontmen of Country to perform the hit song, which he wrote in 1983.

Greenwood has performed at three previous presidential inaugurations, those of Ronald Reagan, George Bush and George W. Bush.
That was absolutely, without an doubt, one of the most inspiring things I've seen in many, many years. The song, the location, the crowd singing (including our new president Smile), and the old veterans at the end. I haven't been this moved in a long time.

Yeah, I saw that too. Screen got all blurry, or the pollen must be early this year.

God bless this nation and protect it from the enemies within.

Yeah, just look at what all those "politicians" have done to England, Ireland and the EU countries!

None of them have any room to brag, or criticize us.

I'm deplorable because I cut work today in order to watch history.

Congratulations, Mr. Trump.
