Lol I liked one of the lines from that Gutfeld clip where they were talking about how people who built the Titanic and ran Hillary's campaign were so arrogant to believe they could not fail. The gist of which was "The difference between Hillary and the Titanic was that she managed to sink twice" Smile

As Churchill observed, "In war, you can only be killed once, but in politics, many times."

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Taiwan and carters 1 china policy is the last piece of jimmy carters failed policies which have and will affect us for decades to come.

1) The fall of afghanistan and the rise of alqueda
2) The fall of the Shah of iran and the fundamentalist state that replaced him.
3) 1-China policy.

They are only a foreshadowing of the future consequences of obamas failed policies.

Report: Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson a Dark Horse Candidate for Trump Secretary of State

McClatchy reports that president-elect Donald Trump may have a surprise pick for Secretary of State — Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson — rather than the big-name candidates who have received the most press speculation so far.
From McClatchy:

Despite a dinner with Mitt Romney earlier this week, President-elect Donald Trump is reportedly considering Irving resident and Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson for secretary of state.

Tillerson, who has led Exxon since 2006 and worked for the company for more than four decades, is reportedly under consideration for the nation’s top diplomatic post.

The biggest names discussed so far in Trump’s White House transition process have been former Governor Mitt Romney, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, former U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Bolton, former CIA chief David Petraeus, and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher. In an unscientific online poll, Breitbart readers respectively ranked Giuliani, Bolton, Petraeus, Romney, then Rohrabacher as a preferred choice.

Another good article on the Warrior Monk, albeit a little older.

"Just Don't Call Him Mad Dog"

One of my favorites:

"He is a lifelong bachelor with no children, but wouldn’t move into a monastery unless it was stocked with “beer and ladies.”

And this, that endears him to Marines everywhere (myself included):

"Stories about Mattis’ caring and deference to the lower ranks abound. As a one-star general he dressed for guard duty, sword and all, one Christmas at Quantico, Va., relieving a young lieutenant to spend the holiday with his family."

Green Party Drops Statewide Pennsylvania Recount

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP/KDKA) – The Green Party is dropping its court case seeking a statewide recount of Pennsylvania’s Nov. 8 presidential election. It had wanted to explore whether voting machines and systems had been hacked and the election result manipulated.

The decision came Saturday, two days before a court hearing in the case. Lawyers for the Green Party-backed voters who filed the case say they can’t afford the $1 million bond ordered by the court by Monday at 5 p.m. However, Green Party-backed efforts to analyze election software in scattered precincts are continuing.

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein has spearheaded a recount effort in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, states where Republican Donald Trump won narrowly over Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Trump and the Pennsylvania GOP had opposed the recount.

A statement from the Pennsylvania GOP sent Saturday night read, in part:

“The filing of a discontinuance of the Election Contest by Jill Stein’s petitioners tonight is a recognition that their Election Contest was completely without merit, and meant solely for purposes to delay the Electoral College vote in Pennsylvania for President-Elect Trump…Candidate Jill Stein’s allegations created the false allusion that some unidentified foreign government hacked our state’s voting systems when absolutely no such proof existed. We believe that she always knew that she had no such proof.”

An updated count Friday by state election officials shows Trump’s lead shrinking to 49,000 from 71,000 over Democrat Hillary Clinton. Trump’s lead is 0.8 percent, down from over 1 percent, out of 6 million votes cast. That’s shy of Pennsylvania’s 0.5 percent trigger for an automatic statewide recount.

What is the difference between allusion and illusion? An allusion is an indirect reference to something. An illusion is a false impression.

^ All illusions are false; thus "false illusion" is redundant.

But people have made false allusions zillions of times, and the phrase itself makes sense.

Generally speaking...

Just learned you can read Trump's "Tweets" without opening a "Twitter" account. Do not know if they will cut me off but so far, so good. Cannot respond or otherwise post, but no problem for me as want to read only.

Trump needs to quickly capitalize on Jill Stein and Hillary's recount to implement election reform. Jill is on Fox News, talking about needing a voting system we can trust.

Trump needs to use Jill and Hillary's comments to show the need for voter ID, checking death certificates with voter registration, etc.

If we do not tighten up on the ability for Liberals to commit voter fraud now, this will likely be the last time we see a conservative President. Attack voter fraud now while the iron is hot.
