Man, this thread moves along like a freight train. Back on page 1033 I posted about a report that Trump's 2016 numbers would have beat Obama's 2012 numbers. And I said that really sounds odd. The author should have realized that a 6 million vote advantage should have won the needed EVs So back to the original point. Why did Clinton lose ? Because 6 million DEMs that voted for Obama in 2012, did not vote for her in 2016. The black vote and the young people vote did not support her like they did Obama. Some of those 2012 DEM votes may have gone to Trump. I am so glad that Trump won, but this election was razor thin in several key states. It amazes me that several million people vote in a state, and the winner wins by a handful of votes. Don't ever think your vote isn't important.This message has been edited. Huum. A little grumpy? I was also encouraged that Netanyahu and the president of Egypt spoke positively about their future with the United States in a Trump presidency. It looks like he's getting the band back together. The Muslim Brotherhood is not happy. It looked to me that Obama was engaging in international and national redistribution of our wealth to buy love from internal voters and international enemies. It seemed idiotic to me. I also remember how the world snapped to when Reagan was elected. I also remember about one president who spoke of walking softly and carrying a big stick. That Trump plays "nice" is a choice. No one believes he's incapable of strength and dogged determination when needed. By the way, "politics" is not a bad thing.
