No. A shotgun approach won’t go anywhere. You need probable cause to obtain a warrant. __________________________

Wait for the DNA test before jumping to conclusions. It could've been some other visitor or even a relative. Regardless of who did it, it is sickening.

No good deed goes unpunished |
Looks like they have it. Phoenix police investigators are testing DNA samples from men who work at a Phoenix nursing facility in response to a vegetative patient giving birth there last week. Hacienda HealthCare confirmed the search warrant for DNA samples Tuesday evening. The investigation prompted outrage nationwide last week after Arizona’s Family revealed a 29-year-old Native American woman living in a yearslong vegetative state had been impregnated at the facility. A week after the victim gave birth, Phoenix police have still released next to nothing about the investigation. Sources tell Arizona's Family that the baby boy is alive, but it is still unclear who currently has custody of the child. The now-former CEO of Hacienda HealthCare, Bill Timmons, has also stayed silent about exactly what he knew and when he knew it. Several sources close to the case told Arizona’s Family that there is much more to be uncovered about the abuse allegations at this facility. Full article here.

Better Than I Deserve! |
I work in a facility like this in the Phoenix area. This is a terrible situation for the woman, her family and the staff of this facility. While it could very well be a staff member, based on my experience it would more likely be another resident or visitor that had access to the patient. I read that this patient had large groups of visitors. Patients are not watched while they are with family or other visitors that are cleared. We have horny old men (residents) at our facility and it is a constant challenge to keep everyone safe and not harassed. ____________________________ NRA Benefactor Life Member GOA Life Member Arizona Citizens Defense League Life Member

Per Fox News Link A licensed nurse who was supposed to care for a woman in a vegetative state at an Arizona nursing facility was arrested after she gave birth to a baby last month, officials announced Wednesday. Phoenix Police Chief Jeri Williams said at a news conference that 36-year-old Nathan Sutherland was arrested for sexual assault and vulnerable adult abuse at the Hacienda Healthcare facility in Phoenix. "We have worked virtually nonstop every day, every night to resolve this case," Williams told reporters. The chief said that officers used "good old-fashioned police work" in addition to DNA tests on the baby to find a match and made the arrest. Sutherland worked at the facility, officials added.

Well they had a warrant and a list of names. They only had to wait on lab results. String him up and let him twist in the Arizona heat.

No kidding, that would have been a short list to begin with...

If it hadn't been a staffer, it could have required a lot more police work. I don't know what the security is like in those places, but it sounds like the cops got lucky here that the perp was a real dummy.

I wonder what will become of this poor child?

My common sense is tingling |
Yes, cameras in the rooms would be a HIPAA violation as well as an Arizona Article IX violation. A lot of hoops that would have to be jumped through to allow that.

I am glad they quickly found the dirtbag. I don't want the think about what else he may have done and for how long he did it. I pray the child will be a blessing for the Grandparents. JC
